It'll be a pain but removing as much trim as you can including the door handles and pulling out the front and rear clip alittle will be be well worth the finished product. I don't know your plan but would also highly recommend you apply a coat of 2k primer and follow it with a guide coat and finish with wet 600 before the top coat and clear.
