I love the detial of her 'claming' him with a necklace and him ripping it off. Also his first expression thinking about his friends then it turning to anguish owie but amazing. Also love your athena. Oh yeah and atheana looking at the siren tail oof

i feel like perhaps calypso’s pose or expression or anything could change even slightly when she says “to the immortal”, it felt to me like it hung on that frame for just a bit too long? and i think it would be good to change on “calypso”, too, I think. you could maybe switch to the eyes earlier? it could feel better and have it be more on beat with the emphasis of the lyrics. If you’re looking for feedback! (and don’t worry, you do this exact thing very well in other parts of the animatic!) edit: at 2:08 !

OMG I love Odysseus's eyes when Calypso mentions "open arms"... you can see how much it hurts him to remember Polites

The fact that a hero like Odysseus has reached the point where he's considering suicide and is devoid of hope, he finally prays to Athena for help (I don't think he ever prayed to any God for help especially his friend)............I can only imagine her shock at seeing Ody's condition

This animatic even if not finished is still GREAT

This is SO GOOD OMG. I was thinking, this is the first time we hear Ody call for Athena after "My goodbye". I love how she uses the quickthought combined with memories. My personal headcannon is that their bond was never fully broken, just suppressed and that when Athena says "Let's see where you've been" she fully embraces (and stops suppressing it) that bond and thats how she experiences his memories. Once the quickthought is over, she's back to the present, but he can sense her too just like she can sense him and THATS why he calls out to her.

Oh god please finish this. the part (aside of the whole thing) where athena is looking through oy's journey since "my goodbye" is IMMACULATE

that last horrified face of athena was what convinced me. it's the one facial expression that mirrors the distress i hear in her voice when she finally realizes that ody has *needed* her for years and has finally voiced it. i'm excited to see how you further bring this to life!

I absoluately love how you didnt make Calypso happy about being stuck in an island forever where no one can come or go

Excuse me this made me CRY because Ody just so MISERABLE AND CONSIDERING JUMPING OFF THE EDGE. And the fact he calls for Athena, making you wonder how many times he called and she never answered as to him they were friends. And the way Athena sees everything and is mortified then shaken when see what he has done since she left. Now want to help him, this is beautiful and can't wait to see the final product.

I feel that the Cliff scene reflects what the original Ody felt in the Lotus Island, the confusion and pain (and all the Drowning).

i cant wait to see this done as it is already devastating :)

HOW CAN I FEEL SO MUCH EMOTION WHEN LOOKING AT SOME VERY WELL PLACED LINES ACCOMPANIED BY MUSIC. No but really it is already uncanny how quickly you created this amazing composition, and I knew the last part with the clash of verses would get me especially and hhhh it does. Also I think it is really meaningful that Odysseus is depicted smiling the way he is there at the ledge, because it conveys a whole other level of desperation and edge of madness. All in all, sobbing

What makes this sad is that Calypso, despite ignoring obliviously that he has a wife, doesn't truly mean him any harm. And the ending truly shows that. 🌺⚔️
