great insight; humanity has changed and continues to change

I read Proverbs for wisdom and Psalms for comfort and encouragement and the rest of the Bible to get to know God better. I still remember my first prayer, at five years old. I went outside to look up into the Heavens; because, that is how I thought you were to talk to God and said to Him, is "I want to know more about You". What I didn't understand at the time; but, as I look back now, I do. God gave me the wisdom to understand that the cult my morher was a part of was wrong.

It seems that you and thousands of others have missed it. Jesus' failed prophecy. He said the kingdom would come down and that many standing there would still be alive for it. The bible itself claims that Jesus is a failed prophet. I feel that is a serious issue. One of many.

Thank you for your readings and commentary. I put down my Bible about 5 years ago out of sheer frustration and have not been able to pick it up. My brain just could not unscramble it. Hearing you read and explain is like a soaking rain in a dry, parched land.

It wouldn't be a true teacher that would speak "down" to a group. All true teachers include themselves in their teachings as being part of the same consciousness. As well, all true teachers help you see FOR YOURSELF WITHIN YOURSELF, the truth of what they are speaking. They emphasize to not take anything they are saying as truth, but to find that truth out for yourself.

I, for one, believe that we can find truth in a lot of texts. I once stood pretty firmly against using the bible to find truth. But I had also came out of a pretty religious home. So, I understand why I did that. But now I can see that truth is found everywhere. Love you, Cory. Thanks for sharing.
