History of Pergamon.
Pergamon was a Hellenistic entity in Anatolia that emerged within the Diadochi Wars under Philaetarus. It originally started as a city state, and grew to prominence under Attalus I, who defeated the Galatians in his first year. This state eventually fell due to the will of Attalus III, and the failure of Aristonicus.
