"At Last" was introduced in the 1942 20th Century Fox motion picture Orchestra Wives by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra featuring Ray Eberle on lead vocals. In the movie, Pat Friday sings a duet with Ray Eberle. On the 78 single release, just Ray Eberle is featured. The song became a pop and jazz standard way before Etta James covered the song in 1960. Nat King Cole and Ray Anthony recorded the song in the 1950s. The Ray Anthony version was a huge pop hit in the early 1950s before Etta James.

@lavakava Shut up u spa. Its crap, my 3 year old could do better. Its no better than grade 2 The best bit was the last 5 secs Im in the middle of learning the original piano play for this, ill post when im done.

Finding musicians on RUclips that play the ORIGINAL, not Etta's cover rendition is a difficult task today. After Etta went off on the Pres & Beyonce, I found out the Original had been recorded twice by GM band in '41 & '42! Original singer was Pat Friday the Ghost voice of Lynn Bari. The #2 PinUp Girl (to Betty Page) & charted top of HIT PARADE for 2months. Ghost voices were to be heard, Not Seen. Glenn & 20th Century Records made sure of that. There's a web page tribute to Pat Friday! :D

Well have just finished listening to chinesefake thinking they must be one hell of a good player making that comment, and to be honest I'd much rather listen to your playing than their's anyday just loved it.

I bet you play by air as well got best of both worlds excellent loved it. Would love you to write back so I can see if I'm right.
