Daniel J. Lasker suggests that the Talmudic stories about Jesus are not deliberate, provocative polemics, but instead demonstrate "embryonic" Jewish objections to Christianity which would later "blossom into a full-scale Jewish polemical attack on Christianity .... The Talmud calls Jesus a deciever and Christians animals.. There is more respect for Jesus in Islamic writings and doctrine..

I can choose to sacrifice myself on behalf of others, and there are situations when I would feel that I must. However, I think it is best to avoid as much as possible being the arbiter over the lives of those who are innocent, and deciding whether one group can be sacrificed on behalf of another group. There’s a difference between deciding for me and deciding for others. The question of the hostages in Gaza should be determined based on context and the truth: 1. The events of October 7 happened against a backdrop of political division and corruption charges against the Prime Minister, putting a great deal of pressure on him. Some argue what took place can only be the result of neglect by the army, and many have other speculations. As a result, we cannot say the hostages were captured because Hamas was incentivized for prisoner exchange. Many would not have been captured if the security owed to them was provided. Questions will continue to be asked about what started on October 7, and an investigation is needed. There is the danger of fraying the bonds of trust that hold the people together, especially if the government not only failed to provide security for those that were captured, but also caused their death. We are in challenging times and need these bonds to be as strong as possible. 2. Does Hamas capture hostages because they are incentivized to have their own prisoners released in exchange? There is evidence to suggest this is not the case. On the contrary, it seems they capture them as retaliation because from their perspective, they have their own people that have been captured. If this is true, they will continue to try to capture hostages regardless of whether an exchange takes place this time. 3. It is one thing to not award the enemy with a prisoners-for-hostages exchange. It is quite another to take deliberate action whose outcome is uncertain and which is likely to cause the death of those who are innocent, especially when you have the power to control events. It is uncertain that killing the Hamas soldiers or their leaders would remove the threat, since it's an ideology. The air strikes so far have killed many hostages and several thousand women and children. Even for sustenance, the killing of an animal cannot be taken lightly, because it affects us. The rituals are there to guard against these effects. How then can it be okay to cause the deaths of thousands of children? Even if the people in Gaza are displaced several tens of kilometers, the conflict will remain. In the long-term, people will have to learn to live with one another. It is better and more durable to be a source of benefit for people in the region than to dominate them through power, and this does not mean neglecting security. Land and resources can be obtained in a multitude of ways.

When we jews read our torah the word of God, whether in hebrew or english, we have to understand the commandments that God wants us to do , the reward that comes with it and YES , the PUNISHMENT that comes as well if we do not do those commandments . We can't say to God " oh I will do this but I won't do that " this will not work . This is not what god wants . This is his world and like it or not we are HIS people , and we must do our best to do what he says and not do what he says not to do . We have no choice . So when we read the curses in the torah , yes they are horrible, but people need to understand that God is not joking . He is not just threatening. He is a very patient God, and this is why punishment doesn't come all the time. He wants us to repent , teshuvah. We have been saying this all our lives . Evey year on rosh Hashanah and yom kippur we say Teshuvah, tfila, and tzedaka, will sweeten the judgements . It does not say it will stop the judgements because when we jews sin and don't repent then bad things will happen . It's in the jewish guide book called the torah. If we do tzedaka which is not only money but is charitable acts, if we do tfilah which is prayer meaning with proper intention without talking when in parts of davening is forbidden to talk , and during the week when we must leave our phones in our pockets otherwise it's a joke trying to pray and look at your phones . And last but really first is teshuvah, you repent like it's your last day on earth and ask God forgiveness for your sins EVERYDAY of your life. I think tachnun should be re instated in the shul . I will end with people still questioning God. If I ask you why the first temple was destroyed and millions were killed , you will tell me because of idols, murder , and adultery. If that's the case then God was there !. If I ask you why the second temple was destroyed you will tell me baseless hatred . So God was there too! So when the nazis arrive and do what they do and hamas comes and do what they do , what now God is not here ? God was right there in the holocaust and was also right there in the hamas attacks . Millions of jews were killed before simchat torah . All of a sudden Now? We think God left us ? NO he is the master of the universe , master of this world , he has his reasons why someone , some SOUL is saved, or punished , or rewarded . He has the computer system that we do not have . So we have and should have total faith and do the best we can to be the best jews we can be . And if anyone does not know some of the laws of God , then they should start looking things up or asking rabbis and start changing their ways so all of the bad decrees coming should be sweetened and be turned against the enemies of God. .

The United States should end military aid to Israel,, 1. Israel can pay for its own military. Israel has a strong economy, an excellent international credit rating, and runs frequent budget surplus. Israel ran an annual surplus of more than a billion dollars six out of the last ten years. 2. Military aid to Israel is a security risk. Israel is a major supplier of military technology to China. These sales have been instrumental in the modernization of the Chinese military. Israel developed the Lavi fighter from American technology with 1.5 billion in American subsidies. Israel sold the Lavi fighter to China. It is now called the J-10 and is the mainstay of the Chinese Air Force. Israel has also sold China missile guidance systems,, advanced radar systems and targeting systems. 3. Israel is a diplomatic liability. 4. Military aid to Israel is illegal under the Leahy Law because of Israel's human rights violations. Any aid to Israel is illegal under the Symington amendment which prohibits aid to nations with nuclear weapons that have not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and do not permit inspections of their nuclear sites

Genesis- vegetation is man’s nourishment. The vision of the end of days- vegetation is man’s nourishment. One who is focused on wholesome worship of God will not allow themselves to take the easy path but will strive for high ideals. Rav Abraham Isaac Kook: ”We remember that in a wholesome state before the sin, Adam was commanded not to eat meat. Therefore we know that in the time to come, after the world is repaired, the heavens and earth will be revitalized, the nature of man and the beast will change to the majestic, then we will return to supreme moral sensitivity and accordingly it will be forbidden to kill an animal to eat their flesh.” (הרב קוק,חזון הצמחונות והשלום ב). “And I will make a covenant for them on that day with the beasts of the field and with the fowl of the sky and the creeping things of the earth; and the bow, the sword, and war I will break off the earth, and I will let them lie down safely.” (כ, ב הושע) Radak: this refers to Isaiah's prophecy:“And a wolf shall live with a lamb”, and that is discussed there.” “And a wolf shall live with a lamb, and a leopard shall lie with a kid; and a calf and a lion cub and a fatling [shall lie] together, and a small child shall lead them. And a cow and a bear shall graze together, their children shall lie; and a lion, like cattle, shall eat straw. And an infant shall play over the hole of an old snake and over the eyeball of an adder, a weaned child shall stretch forth his hand. They shall neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mount, for the land shall be full of knowledge of the Lord as water covers the sea bed". (ישעיהו יא, ו-ט)
