Very interesting discussion on the current denials and approvals for NIW from the US. There is no guaranteed way to gain approval for NIW, as I've heard of cases where individuals with no published papers or citations were still approved, while others with strong citations and a social media presence were rejected. Kindly let me know if you think I have a chance for approval. I'm almost done with my cover letter. I hold a Master's degree with the highest honors in Data Science and AI, with two published scientific papers and a nomination as a finalist for a science award.

Than you for the video and the valuable information. I filed my NIW while pursuing my PhD. At the time of submission, my proposed endeavors were A, B, and C. I received my Green Card one year before graduation. From the time I received my Green Card to the time I graduated, I worked on endeavor A and fulfilled it. However, I didn’t work on endeavors B or C, although I had published papers about them when applying for the NIW. After graduation, I worked in the industry for around two years (same field as my PhD degree). Now, I want to change my field completely. For the sake of anonymity, let’s say I got a PhD in mechanical engineering and now I want to open a coffee shop. Will this be problematic when I apply for citizenship?

What do you think about articles that don't mention the beneficiary by name? USCIS Policy Manual seems like it can be accepted, as long as the article mentions your or your team's work and there is other evidence confirming you played a significant part in that work "Moreover, officers may consider material that focuses solely or primarily on work or research being undertaken by a team of which the person is a member, provided that the material mentions the person in connection with the work or other evidence in the record documents the person’s significant role in the work or research." I understand it's much harder to argue, but have you had such cases?

Just using fictitious examples, say I get an NIW based on accomplishments in the healthcare field, but in 10 years time when it comes to renewing my green card or even getting citizenship I’m not in this field anymore, I’m in something completely different like software engineering. forgive my french ma'am, respectfully but that is some BS right there and these officers really need to be called out by someone, say some supervisor. they cannot sit in some office and get to simply with wave of hand determine the outcome of people's fate, there needs to be a sort of panel within their office before they go out and give these silly RFEs.
