There is about a pound difference between the two. If you are walking and stalking with a bipod either will do, but that difference in weight is noticeable. The Night Stalker balance point is more toward the rear because of the adjustable buttstock, which is where most of the added weight is at. In my opinion, if you don't need the EFR Mounting Rail Bridge go with the LRH. If you need the EFR and want a collapsable buttstock for rucking and such, go with the Night Stalker.

Your model 70 is trash compared to most modern rifles by nearly all metrics. Shoot-ability, ergonomics, accuracy, recoil handling, etc…

Mine with open sights. Ya. No. The Model 70 leaves nothing to be desired. If it did, I wouldn't own it. Are u asking about the spiral flute on the barrel? Manufacturers flute the barrel to reduce weight what this company did was spiral the flute purely for aesthetics, if you look up barrel fluting for weight reduction u will see other manufacturers do this but usually with straight flutes
