Am I still here in Brazil and not on the list of nominees for best foreign film? It's strange because the film is being highly praised, not to mention Fernanda Torres' sublime performance, she should be nominated for best film actress in drama.

This is one of the most powerful performances at the Oscars of all time. Based on this version, of course it should have won. But I also have to be honest, they vote on the songs as they were released in their studio versions, and the studio version of this song just isn’t that great or powerful. So I can understand why it lost - but I do really wish Gaga had released a version as powerful as this one in a studio version because it’s just heartbreaking.
