So, this is how it's played in the studio version. It's played on acoustic, I don't have one but anyway. Just octaves and capo 2nd fret, and open A through the whole song. Check out studio guitar track ruclips.net/video/eBx-IjwDpas/видео.html

Yellowcard - Lift a Sail guitar solo cover
If you're into bendy playing Jerry Cantrell is a must.
Dave is def one of my fav guitarists of all time.
Hell yeah bro, that was awesome. I listen to this song in the shower most days on my morning playlist and it gets me fired up for the day.
Never say never! Biffy are so phenomenal live & being in the crowd is always like being with your mates even though you’ve never met them before! My advice, just take and go, especially after the pandemic….we just need to go and live our best lives & a Biffy gig will definitely help with that! ♥️♥️♥️ MON THE BIFF! 👍🏻
Love these guys … to auld to go see them …. But there music just makes me feel alive ..i dont feel the burnt oot auld husk i clearly am when i listen to them
If I understand what you mean (English is not my first language) that you are too old to go and attempt their gig I just wanted to say there is no age limit to do what makes you feel happy!
Excelente cover 🤘🏽🎸
nice...
Its actually quite easy to learn. Few hours u can do it
Where did you get this pickguard???
It's Dave my boy, not me
I think it's a Antiqua finish on that Strat, it's a finish they did in like the late 60's and 70's. I'm pretty sure they did it on a reissue aswell so I'm not sure if Dave's is an actual vintage Strat or maybe a reissue.
That's so tight. Awesome playing
This is "the" Sum 41 solo
Deryck actually wrote and recorded the first 15 seconds of the solo. U can find some older live videos of him playing it and then throw the rest of the solo to Dave
I saw only one video of him playing the first part of the solo
@@AzaWTVR CBGB's (2002), Conan (2003), Tokyo (2003), Summersonic (2003), Reading (2003, not on youtube but I have it), BBC3 launch (2003). Basically every performance in 2002 and 2003, Dave started playing the whole thing in 2004.
@@andyjmwm oh cool, if you have it why is it not on RUclips then?😅
@@AzaWTVR Every time I try to upload it, it doesn't accept it due to copyright which is a shame as it's one of the best sounding live performances of it.
@@andyjmwm oh shit... Is it just hell song or whole set?
Incredible solo and I absolutely ADORE the space he gives at the very end before the bridge begins. Those small things where you show restraint means you know what you’re doing
Always thought this solo was amazing
This solos literally on fire and never gets old
Tabs?
There are multiple versions on ultimate guitar
Him sticking his pinky out like that makes me feel better about myself
I always figure that it's better to keep it out of the way when you're not using it. Lessens the chance of accidentally muting a string.
@@SpongeBath_ShitPants HOLY SHIT YOU LITERALLY MADE ME FEEL AMAZING W THIS POST AND RESPONSE. I feel that my pinky is stronger having used this as a norma feel. Yes it takes longer to get back, but if you're used to it, you made your pinky one of the fastest fingers imo? If that makes sense? terrible advice for a new player....but yeah peace!
I feel like all of us guitarists are self-conscious about our pinky but it's moments like these that give us that quiet consolation.
The best part of the whole album!!
Nice to hear this on its own. Dave writes some epic guitar solos.
Yeah, he used to
@@AzaWTVR He still does
@@AzaWTVR, Order in Decline has some really cool solos
@@austinalexander8457 Out for Blood solo is awesome
