I think Jak Airport (R.I.P.) Paul Dean, Paul B.P. Hurding and Lora Logic (Rudi Thompson) were an amazing band! Legendary!

Jak Airport, Paul Dean, Paul B.P. Hurding and Lora Logic (then Rudi Thompson) were an amazing band! Jak Airport passed away in 2004 - but you would never know that because almost everyone here comes to praise and remember only one person in this band. Sad.
X-Ray Spex was an incredible band. A band - a group effort. X-Ray Spex was not just a solo artist singer and songwriter.
this is sublime !
" I wanna be a frozen pea" Poly Styrene.
Polly out~punx Johnny Rotten by a country mile.
In my humble opinion, there are four truly great punk albums: The Clash, Germfree Adolescents, The Ramones, Bullocks.
Nevermind !!
And crossing the red sea with the adverts!!
The entire record is great. Poly was a trailblazer.
She died the year I was born 😢
Love the old school punk
Poly Strene is an absolute legend 🧡
CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED BAND
Look like Andrew Logan was involved. Are there no videos with Lora in them?
klasse
Not only is she unique, her musicians are magnificent, it's a winning combo!
Michael Malice brought me here
Note the Annie phone the size of her head on the desk!

Real punk
Love ogwt
Lyric wise Poly is brilliant, check her last LP, still the the same concerns. People said punks were stupid, but they didn't listen. They should have listened, and maybe then learned. Poly knew the future esp. about consumerism. Dumb arses didn't listen, so we got what we got!!
Doton Adebayo And Wingate Dance To This Song On The Virtual Jukebox 🤔😩🚬🚭
I listen it first time in 2024 😊….👍
This LP is a masterpiece. Before they came along, if you told anyone a saxophone could work in punk rock, they would have thought you were nuts.
“Move On Fast” Yoko Ono, 1973. They thought she was nuts though and punk hadn’t been invented yet but it was proto-punk, so your point still stands.
Yes, You're right, it can work...as with X-ray Spex, Essential Logic and (my favourites) The Cravats.Their 1980 LP "In Toytown" is ace!
My mind is like a plasic bag ❤
She was great. …. I remember those days well.
They sound great, punk band that time forgot sadly, RIP Poly.
That she did'nt liv to record with The POP GROUP is A CRIME ouch
❤
So talented, she was brilliant.
Loved this song since I was 13 and 1st heard it in 1978. LOVED the scene in Handmaid's Tale when they bomb the new red center so much
10:10 My mind is like a switchboard, full of crossed and tangled lines.
The girls and some young women that i new wanted to be Poly Styrene because she was the bizz
*I still get so excited and filed with exhilaration when listening to X-Ray Spex after almost 45 years.*
I remember why I liked her as a teenager and now I love her for her beat poetry and she is timeless.
R.I.P. Lovely Poly people died, when we don't forgot them. . . . 😇
Thank you.😂 Worked at a vinyl shop at the time. One day this LP came in new British import. Been listening to it since..
Just can’t stop watching this, it’s amazing I knew about this group before but never listened to any of their music, until now! Polly is such a great talent and her band are brilliant especially the sax player, this performance on the OGWT is iconic and is testament to how great she and her band was, RIP beautiful lady 💖
I love the wobblevision done only on the colouring under the lines. I don't think I've seen that before.
The best punk bank
Shame the original sax player was told to leave, she was awesome.
Told to leave? Wonder why. So that's when Lora Logic joined the band?
@@johnsilva9139 i assumed it was Lora logic ( the original sax player) that got asked to leave the band. There is a documentary on y.t. that mentions it.
That voice ❤❤❤
I just realise today how bold it was to include a saxophone in a punk band at the time. They were afraid of no one!
