I love paper piecing! Still hate flying geese!
Hahah I hear you! But I recently tried this two at a time method and it was a lot better! But still they are probably one of my least favorites 😂
So proud of you Tasha. FPP is my fear also it just seems so backwards. Nervous about not getting the fabric placed correctly I think I’ll try it in the new year
Thanks Twila! I think it’s worth giving it a try because it’s such a fun technique to have available. But it def was a frustrating learning experience for me but worth it 😂
Great job Tasha!,🎉
Thanks Tessa!
Loved the Block!! Congrats on conquering your fear. I too have just started doing FPP and it also took a hot minute for me to get it straight in my head matter of fact on a quilt I was doing it was the LAST blocks I done. Of course I "Still need practice" but happy with what I done. Anyway keep up the good work! Want to see more 🤩
That is awesome!! I’m afraid if I don’t make another FPP block soon my brain will forget everything we learned 😂😂. Thanks for watching 🥰
@@TashaQuilts You're so welcome! Thanks btw for the free ones-- gonna try those.
Awesome! Let me know if you make them! I’d love to hear what you think!
Seen it, tried it, stuck it back in the bin. Maybe when I retire and have the time to be aggravated. Lol
Hahaha I hear you there! I was craving aggravation 😂. As if the kids don’t provide enough of it lol
I love how your block turned out! It's so cool! Welcome to the dark side of FPP. I probably watched about 40 videos before it clicked in my head. Now it's easy because I have done several projects and I have already made all the rookie mistakes. I am currently working on the Wolf Abstractions quilt from Violet Craft.
It definitely took awhile but so worth it! I’ll have to go check that out! Sounds cool!!
Love it came out great!!!
Thank you!
So goooood! Oh my goodness! Great tips! I love that you sewed on the wrong line. I have done that too many times to count! 😂
Glad I’m not alone.
This is going to sound dumb but do you know how to crochet my 11 year old daughter is getting into it and I want to get her some stuff and get her to teach me so If you know could you please give me some pointers, im a welder and mechanic so this is very new and different to me lol.
That sounds so fun! I am not a crocheter but I’m sure if you give it a google lots of things will pop up. Sorry I can help and good luck that sounds so fun!
This is so cute. I think you could 🪡 embroider or applique something on the fan to "fancy it up." This could be just adorable. I love the idea of doing the old blocks with the random numbers. Have FUN. ✂️🧵🍀❤️🦓 Liz in Northern California.
That is such a cute idea! Thank you!!
Really cute block and an excellent idea on using a RNG to pick blocks for a quilt! I’m waiting for my copy of Block Base+ to arrive, but the RNG is a great way to choose blocks from the EQ8 libraries too! Thank you for sharing an excellent tip!
Enjoy! You’ll love it!
@@TashaQuilts I’ve already shared your video with the other EQ8ers I know. What a great skill builder. I’m really looking forward to it!
@@ccreel64 Thank you SO much! That means so much to me!!!
@@ccreel64 Also, since you liked this video - you should definitely check out Kendall Taylor's channel. Turns out he is doing something really similar and has quite a few videos! ruclips.net/channel/UCsCnd82vQeb2X8hIz4zynxg
@ I will, thank you so much.🤗
Cool colors!
Agreed. Can’t wait to use it!
Wait. What is that circle thing? I need that!
Circular sewing attachment. It’s really neat so far! I tried a little bit tonight!
Girl you are so amazing. Thank you so much
Can’t wait to try it out! It’s so pretty !!
Looking good!
Thank you Tessa!
Kendall sent me
Thanks for coming by! So nice!!
Randomly picking the size would be fun. Maybe like 6/9/12/16?
I like that idea!
What a fun idea! I’ve got that giant book, too. The easy blocks are fun to recreate but what would happen if you ended up with those crazy angular complex blocks? I like to try to figure out how I could break the block up and make it easier to make. Like you might could break those curves into drunkards path blocks and use sashing or triangles to get them oriented into those angles. But that’s me… and why I’m called the Copycat Quilter! lol. Thanks for sharing!
I think that is why I love this idea. Trying to figure out how to make them! I’m sure it won’t be too long before I get a wild one. The next one is a little funky but not terrible! Im already working on it because I’m obsessed with this idea for now 😂
❤❤
Thank you!
Sent over by Kendall... Tip coming .. when working with reversible fabrics like batiks and your solid blue, I put a mark on the back to keep track of orientation. Especially useful trick when making binding.
That’s an amazing tip! I def could use that while binding!! Thank you!!
Kendall referral..👍
Yay! Thank you!
Hi Tasha, I’ve come to say hello from Kendall Taylor’s group..
Yay. Thank you!!
Congrats on 1000.
Thank you!!
Hi Tasha. Kendall Taylor told us about you in our Brackman Sampler QAL. How fun to see you using the same book and a number picking sodtware. Great tutorial.
Thank you so much! I am so happy you liked it!!
Love it ❤ it turned out amazing! I would love to make a photo quilt myself but not sure how to start with printing photos. Are you planning to have a tutorial? ❤
Thank you so much! So we actually purchased these photo blocks from an Etsy shop. I haven't tried printing them myself. But I really enjoyed the quality of the printed blocks we got. Here is the link to the Etsy shop we used! www.etsy.com/listing/774338297/printed-images-photos-on-fabric-for
Kendall sent me over.
Thank you stopping by - thank you so much!
Kendal sent me too! 🎉
Yay - thank you so much for coming by! :)
A+
Thank you Debbie!
Hi Tasha, Kendall told us about your channel, and doing the Brackman Encyclopedia as well. I am new to quilting and have stayed away from curve blocks but you show that it is not so bad. I may have to give this block a try. Thanks
I’ll warn you, once I started curves it was hard to stop! 😂 thanks for checking out my video 🥰
Cute block, thank you for sharing/showing how you do it
Forgot to mention Kendall sent me here
Thank you for watching and for the comment!!
Kendall sent me 😊
Yay! So nice. Welcome!!
Hi Tasha, Kendall Taylor directed me over here
Thank you for coming by! I really appreciate it!
Hi Tasha, Kendall told us about your channel. Looking forward to learning more.
Thank you so much! I am so flattered!!
Hi, Tasha! I found you through Kendall! Looking forward to following you!
Thank you so much for checking out my video. I appreciate it!
You go girl! Beautiful! Congrats on 1 K!
Chloe! Thank you so much!! 💜💜💜
I have this book also. It’s overwhelming on where to start. I don’t have the Electric system, so I’m lost on how to do some of the blocks. I’m still reading through the book though. Thank you for the history and how to do the block.
I know - so many options! I'll def be doing more of these and @kendalltaylor5636 is doing similar style videos as well! Enjoy!!
Good instructions!. Thank you.
I'm glad you liked it - thank you for your comment and for watching!!!
The block looks awesome ❤ I do wish you were on live at 8 instead of 9! But someday I will get to retire and it won't matter 😂
I am with you! I’ve been thinking of maybe starting earlier! It would be better for me too 😂. Maybe I’ll try that soon!!
And thank you!!
Hi Tasha, I’m sorry I missed your live! We went to my daughter’s home today for Thanksgiving! It was the first time in 34 years that we haven’t hosted a holiday! I’m definitely going to miss the leftovers but dinner was wonderful! I went over to help her but she had everything done so we shared a bottle of wine and waited for everyone to arrive! 🥰
Laura, that sounds like a fabulous Thanksgiving. I’m so glad! Thank you for the comment and I’ll catch you soon!
Somehow I knew I wouldn’t be the only one to do this. I’m up to block 16 in my series.
No kidding! I’ll have to check out your channel! How fun!
@@TashaQuilts I will give you a plug in this weeks video - It will be fun to play along.
@kendalltaylor5636 and thank you! I’m watching your latest one now! I love the wheel. Such a neat idea! I hope to make another block/video soon and will shout you out as well! So nice to “meet” you. It appears you and I think alike 😂
@ this could either be a good or bad thing. Hahaha
@kendalltaylor5636 hahaha agreed. 😂😂 however I’m concluding good thing!
