HORRIBLE #1 NFL Draft Picks of All Time!
Over the years, the NFL Draft has produced its share of top picks who failed to live up to expectations, leaving fans and franchises frustrated. Some of the worst No. 1 overall picks in history are a testament to the unpredictable nature of the draft and the weight of selecting a franchise cornerstone.
One of the most infamous busts is JaMarcus Russell, chosen by the Oakland Raiders in 2007. Russell had all the physical tools - a cannon arm and ideal size - but he struggled with work ethic, conditioning, and decision-making, ultimately failing to make any impact in the league after just three seasons. Another painful selection for the Raiders came in 1997 with Rick Mirer, a quarterback fro...

Secondly, in the off season back up players need to be practically like 1st stringers. If you have too, hire all veterans! Vets know what to do they don’t have to be taught!!!! Stop playing guessing games.

I believe the 1990's dynasty started in 1991 when they beat the undefeated Redskins that day. They were 6-5 and knew they had to win out to be in the playoffs for sure as a wildcard. The Cowboys threw everything they could at the Redskins. Surprise onside kicks, going for it on 4th down, and it worked. What really changed was the back up QB when Aikman got hurt. The year before they had a terrible back up QB and were 7-7 and needing 1 win to make the playoffs in the last two games. Cowboys lost both. The next year Jimmy got Steve Beuerlein as the backup and when Steve took over they won 5 straight including against the Eagles. That's where the dynasty started that day was in Washington. Getting Charles Haley the very next season was the final piece of the puzzle along with a great draft class and free agent Thomas Everett was the catalyst to the 1992 Super Bowl season.

Troy Aikman was a phenomenal, signal-caller quarterback who spent his entire career with the Cowboys. He was the MVP for all of his three Super Bowl victories. He played under Barry Switzer, who he didn’t have a great relationship with during his time with him. He loved playing with Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin, who became the triplets of the team.

  • @blakebrown84

I remember when he was drafted by the formerly St. Louis Rams coming out of Georgia. I always saw him as a phenomenal, elite running back who has some of the best highlights in his career. He ran for over a 1,000 as a rookie and won Offensive Player of the Year award. His best years was when he led the league in rushing between 2017 and 2018. He also earned All-Pro honors during both seasons. During his 6 NFL seasons, he finished his career with 6,082 rushing yards, 2,254 receiving yards and 79 total touchdowns with the Rams and Falcons. Unfortunately, he was hampered by injuries, mostly arthritis in his knee, so his performance was on a decline. Since his retirement from professional football, He was a once-in-a-lifetime player who was one of the top running backs in the league.

Sean Taylor had great physics but didn't have the playmaking ability or IQ to match. Just look at the Miami/OSU nat'l championship game. Made the play then got stripped. That was the game. Ed Reed takes it to the house. Taylor is like Terrell Owens. Social media thinks more of them than people who really follow, covered or played the game at a high level. Ronnie Lott, Steve Atwater, Kenny Easley, Ed Reed, Troy Polumalu, Brian Dawkins, Jack Tatum, Donnie Shell, Paul Krause, John Lynch, Carnell Lake... Sean Taylor is not seeing these guys.
