Siegfried Idyll WWV103 - R Wagner - Synthesia Piano Tutorial
Esto compuso el loco Bach un jueves a las 09:15 de la mañana tomando dos sorvitos de agua y un pan duro, con lluvia detrás...... Y yo a esta hora yendo a trabajar!
Interesting.
Whenever I hear this all I can think of is that long shot on Nicole Kidman's face in the film Birth
Violin PTSD
I can imagine
10:00 arranca con todo
Epic to say the least
Love this!
Wow, incredibly well done! Loved the 13 consecutive A bass, long notes starting at 1:32 till 1:47, and the 38 consecutive A bass notes starting at 2:00 till 2:30. Bach was the maddest of them all!
It's that extended emphasis on the dominant key of A that really drives the eventual resolution to D. The continual shirking of the home key is central feature that helps to define Brandenburg 5 as a celebration process over destination. Glad you liked it.
Dude I was looking at ur channel to see if u had this a couple weeks ago. Crazy that I check my feed and it’s what u decided to make.
Crazy. You know what they say about great minds.
Haha for sure
What is your motivation for making these videos?
@@dynis15 Just that when I started out learning piano I wished there would have been more videos like these. It also gives me an opportunity to learn more about music as I'm interested in composition and a chance to share music which doesn't get enough attention.
25:04
Great!
Love this channel❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cool 👍
Whose arrangement is this?
Richard Kleinmichel
24:43
This looks like the arrangement I have been trying to play. Is there a chance that this has been made for the whole opera?
Yes, Richard Kleinmichel's transcription imslp.org/wiki/Special:ImagefromIndex/279012/tofpg there's a good chance it's the same one, he's done the whole ring cycle
Most of my Wagner videos are based on his transcriptions, I think all my Ring cycle videos are.
@@digital_festspielhaus Thank you. Is there a way to listen to this whole transcription? I can only find specific sections on the internet, but I want to listen to the whole thing.
@@jeremydavie4484 Yeah I'm not sure that it's been recorded either, probably not.. I can recommend this recording of Gotterdammerung from a vocal arrangement I believe by Felix Mottl ruclips.net/video/kgzcEY26YMY/видео.html
Do you have a MIDI file of this? It would be really useful as this is a really good piano tutorial
Yes, what do you want to use it for?
@@digital_festspielhaus In my free time I experiment with MIDIs using different soundfonts, and other small tweaks out of curiosity and to get to know songs better. This one would be really fun to use and experiment with personally
@@dees2621 how would like me to send it, by email or some other way?
i love it <3
Violin sonata anywhere?
no
I was looking for this it’s so good ❤
Nice ty
Could you do Wagner's Faust overture? I would be limitlessly thankful for one. And, by the way, thank you for all your other good work!
Thanks but I probably won't be doing Faust as early Wagner is outside of the scope of what I want to focus on.
Using this to learn it
Glad to hear it! Good luck.
Great work, love Wagner
Thanks
Am I hallucinating or had this channel a version transcribed by Kleinmichel? If so and if this video still exists can you send me by email? I recently bought a book of all of his Wagner transcriptions.
Yeah that's right, I made it private not long after updating it, I wasn't sure if anyone would still be working from it. here's the private link ruclips.net/video/K8vSfBSTx94/видео.html. I should point out that I did make a few alterations from the original including octave shifting a few notes and most notably replacing the tremolos with full notes.
Thank you very much! I cant access it if its private. Can you make it unlisted?
@@PedroAlmeida-im1mb ah mb. Unlisted now.

Mass in B minor is goated
Love it ! Great stuff.
Thank you
Too fast. Played @ .75 speed and much more enjoyable.
Checked and found it comes out at almost identical tempo to the famous Karl Richter recording ruclips.net/video/vMSwVf_69Hc/видео.html although this is fast yeah.
@@digital_festspielhaus Yeah well I checked the famous Hugh Of St Victor recording... ruclips.net/video/NCxX90Sg2TI/видео.html
No doubt, a much more comfortable tempo for the elderly and the infirmed.
Great videos. Would you consider doing 'Hagen's Watch' from Götterdämmerung? Thanks.
Possibly yeah, I'll have a look at the score. It's quite a long piece though so if I did decide to it would take some time

can you do Lohengrin Act III prelude? :)
Probably not, I have one big WIP to finish off after Parsifal Act 1 Transformation music and am busy with other things in my personal life so not taking on any new projects for the forseeable future.
never stop doing wagner! amazing upload as always!

thank you for proving we need humans behind our instruments 🤣😂🤣
What specifically didn't you like? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
@@digital_festspielhaus it's robotic, lacks the emotional depth a human would bring to it. It's one of the most beautiful pieces Strauss ever wrote, but it sounds mechanical here. Don't you think so?
@@Marcel_Audubon From my point of view, I can control (almost) everything that a pianist can control ie. tempo (including accelerando/ritardando, dynamics (on a note by note basis ie. I can produce base/treble emphasis), the way arpeggios are played. Although, I haven't used any pedalling (I avoid it partly due to a glitch). I put quite a bit of work tweaking details to get this to sound as close to what I think it should sound like because I absolutely love this peice of music, and since there are plenty of faults that could be attributable to me, I'm happy to take on that criticism directly.
I didn't mean to discount the effort you put into this, I'm sure it was substantial. All the nuances you can control note by note, a pianist also brings with the stroke of a finger (or 10) in their playing, sometimes subconsciously! Romantic era music requires a dimension of emotion that a pianist can bring to a piece that I don't hear here. The graphical representation reminds me very much of the old music rolls for player pianos. Those were made in 2 ways - creating a metronomic stencil from a piece of sheet music, or captured directly from a performance on a specially equipped piano. The latter captures the emotion the pianist brings to the piece, the former does not. There are music rolls Rachmaninoff himself created using the performance method that I don't believe you would be able to recreate with your tecnique which sounds (to my ear) more like the metronomic method if we use that comparison Still it's very Interesting to hear (and see) what you've done here. I'll have a listen to some of your other posts.
Well I don't disagree and I did notice when making this piece more than any other the need for macro adjustments, like mid bar accelerando/ritardando. Even though it's absent, it seems that everything revolves around the natural phrasing of the voice,
Epic!
Thank you
any chance we can the midi file please ? this is incredible
