@@SmilingIbis I’m sorry about that you are dealing with it all again. My older cat was 22 when she passed and had the arthritis and kidney failure, she lived with it for over 4 years. Kidney failure is so prominent in older kitties. My oldest who is almost 17 has kidney failure starting too. It so sad to watch our babies get old, but such a honor to care for them as well. Mimosa is only 2 she wasn’t born deaf but long story short was deaf by 6 months old. I don’t think I’ve told the story before but should someday. Give your baby a hug from me 🩷

@@Cynararose ok so the event has to be a Pittsburgh Penguins game. When you said the colors I knew it was hockey but had to cheat and look up the name. I'm horrible with sports 🥴. I did notice one of your brackets had 2009 on it and I kept thinking that was relevant but I couldn't connect the dots. As far as the costume I still have nothing. Disney / hockey mashup 🤔

@@OneRoomShed haha cheating is okay. After I wrote that the colors were black and gold it made me release that every Pittsburgh team is black and gold. Oddly my other favorite team is Boston, so also black and gold. The other part is where Eras comes from. Friendship bracelets are big with the fans of the person… they had many eras and also is currently associated with a different sport by way of their significant other and significant others brother just retired from a team near where I live which is near Philly.

@@scottgmccalla I actually took 6 inches off! My husband noticed right away he was like that will take a bit to get use too lol, he is so funny. One of my meds causes hair loss so it was a tangled mess at the bottom all the time. It is still long though for sure.

They are so dang comfy!! I seriously rarely grab another sweatshirt now, it’s so cozy. Hope you find it just as good!

100% this!! That is what I have been wearing. Sweat shirt and shorts, I am wearing sneakers now though not sandals all the time my feet are not happy with me.

Yeah I’m a sucker for them too. I got a bunch when I was working at a rescue because that is what I wore there all the time. I gave a few a way to a friend but I still have more than I probably realize.

We actually owned the VHS for Bambi actually I think we still do. It being from 1942 is mind boggling to me, like how, it looks so good!!! I love bunnies so much one of my favorite animals so I was also obsessed with thumper. I have a bunch of him, I have Easter decorations from the OG Disney store with the stuffed animal mountain that are him and other Disney rabbits. Lots of Winnie the Pooh in Easter decorations too. I feel ancient now too, man I miss the Disney store like that. They use to have some really cool things. Random but the Disney store and I are the same age it opened less than a month before I was born. It was like 10 days before or something. So every time they hit a milestone to celebrate their birthday they came out with a bunch of stuff with how old they were so I always got some of it so we celebrated our birthdays together. I’m such a dork 😆

@@Cynararose lol, I actually bought a T shirt not to long ago that says "I'm such a dork" because I felt it was appropriate for my lifestyle 😂. Btw I assumed you were in your early 20's didn't realize we were around the same age bracket. So, I'm tipping my hat to you for fooling me. Speaking of bunnies, I completely forgot we had a pet rabbit back in early 90's. My father managed a lumber yard back then. We are from Jersey and they had a truck deliver wood to New York. When the truck got back he parked out front of the business and the driver was talking to my dad. Out of nowhere a black floppy eared rabbit jumped out from the front bumper. Supposably the truck drove nonstop from NY to Jersey. We assumed he got in the bumper somewhere in NY state and managed to stay in there the whole ride. Anyway, my dad saw him jump out from the bumper. He ran around the truck, came up to my dad and sat on his foot. My father brought him home (that's way out of character for him). Of course I named him Thumper. I think we had him for 5 or 6 years. He was definitely a cool little guy. He was definitely someone's pet that got loose because he was way to friendly with people. You didn't even have to earn his trust. After he passed we didn't get another because we all felt it wouldn't be the same. He was one of a kind with a crazy backstory. I'm still in South Jersey and we have wild rabbits here. I have them around my house every year. I call them my little weed wackers. They don't like people but I try to get close to them. One older rabbit was used to me and one day let me get very close. Out of nowhere he came right up to me (a foot away). I didn't want to scare him so I didn't move and just stood there. He just sat there. It was the most awkward few minutes I ever experienced. We both froze 😂. After that day I never saw I'm again. I'm still trying with each new generation. I'm determined to pet one. So like you said, I'm definitely a dork too 😜

@@OneRoomShed yeah most people get my age wrong. What a cool little guy with a wicked back story! I know cats that have done something similar but never a rabbit how cool. Shocked he was able to make it so far. They are such awesome guys, I’m glad he got to live with you for so long. Yes at my parents in MA I’m always trying to get the wildlife to like me. I’ve never got to pet a wild rabbit yet but we had a wild one that always hung around that I named clover and I would leave random lettuce and carrots out. This was when I was young now I just try to lure in the chipmunks. My parents have so many bird feeders so I will leave extra treats around so they don’t have to just take the bird scraps but they have so many acorns right now it’s not even funny. So they don’t care right now, I’ll hit them up again in the spring. I’m such a dork, I use to hide it well unless you really knew me but now I proudly show my dork side.

@@OneRoomShed yes some hoodies I definitely size up. Crew necks I size up the most though because I don’t normally wear them out of the house and at time I end up sleeping in them and I love the fact I can basically use them like a blanket and curl my legs under them. Plus Bowie and Acheron love to curl up in them as well.

@@OneRoomShed absolutely when the choice is taken away of if I want to do something or not I get so antsy. Like one day I just went on a drive because I needed not be in the house. The cats help a ton because they are always doing something goofy. Now that I’m feeling better now I just want to sit around and play video games lol but when I couldn’t do much else I wanted nothing to do with it!

It took me a long time to be able to deal with it mentally when I first had to stop working was the hardest part by far… I had worked since I was 14 to go from that to nothing was by far the worse. I deal with things much better now, doing videos kinda gives me that outlet a bit of doing things when I can. I cannot stress enough how much a good care team matters. I’ve had so many that left me in tears because I would be so mad and frustrated. Which I’m a mad/frustrated/anxiety cryer so it just made it worse. Whenever I go to a new doctor I’m always a bit nervous. I’m so happy your mom got a good care team. When a doctor won’t even look into something I see that is a huge red flag. Like it was so funny the other day my doctor checked me for scurvy because I am covered in bruises that I have no idea how I got and he was concerned and he knows I’m allergic to oranges. Lol so he checked the roof of my mouth for the signs of scurvy… no joke. Like me being bruised didn’t bother me but it concerned him, I’m like I’m 100% sure it’s not scurvy but it crossed something off the list. Did a bunch of blood tests too just to be sure it wasn’t something else but it was so funny I’m like I’m not a pirate lol.

@@Cynararose yes having a doc check for things just to see if great. I just said that to mother about something they did with her and confirmed no problem. Being able to say it's not that is good thing in my opinion. I'm a trouble shooter so it's all a process of elimination. Every time you say it's definitely not one thing, you get closer to figuring out what the real issue is. Even if the final outcome is not good, at least you know what it is and specialists know what direction to go in to start the healing process. Hope things get a better and easier for you. Stay strong mentally. I believe that plays a huge part in survival.

That is all so true and seriously me just talking with my doctor made my doctor figure out I had AS… we did tests and what not but one day he was like talk about your pain through out the day. The first words I said was when I wake up I have the oddest pain straight across my butt and it goes away within 20 mins… you could see the lightbulb over his head go off. I guess that is the number one calling card for AS. I don’t carry the gene and there is no test for it. That point on is when we had something we could actually treat. All just from talking. He hand me a pamphlet and said does this sound like you and word for word matched the whole thing. Being a doctor is so much more than a science it is truly an art as well. I never realized until I worked with my rheumatologist. Mental health definitely is so important when I first disabled and couldn’t work and no diagnosis I was a mess.. life happened and I finally sought help turned out I had extreme anxiety but I lost all my coping mechanisms because of the pain. Which was yoga and art. We talked a lot and ultimately need to be on anxiety meds and it changed my life. Then I got meds to work for my AS which gave me some of the movements back. Just in the last year I’ve gotten back into art and now yoga and seriously has changed so much for me. I am so happy your mother has such a great care team now to work with. It is so hard to find because most doctors are so beyond over worked especially family medicine. I couldn’t do what they do at all. Yet from the patient side it is so hard to feel like you are being dismissed.

Besides having 13 different doctors so far I think the hardest part is waiting 3 months to see if a medication works or not. Going to start Rinvoq tonight. So far Methotrexate and Hyrimoz failed. It’s just ridiculous with the wait time trying to get a medication approved by insurance. Insurance denied Enbrel, Humira, and Cimzia. So far it’s been 2 months now with no meds and they are still trying to get Rinvoq approved and that was the drug that was insurance’s alternative drug to Cimzia. I at least got 28 days worth of free samples from my RA doctor for the Rinvoq. She said that the next step if this doesn’t work is infusions but again that’s if insurance will cover it.

@@terrynhemken5635 yeah dealing with the insurance side is so beyond hard. I’m so sorry you have to deal with any of it, and the crazy part is yeah the drugs maybe the same class each one acts differently in the body. So substituting them is just crazy but insurance doesn’t care one bit. Sounds like you have a good doctor you are working with though and that helps so much.

@@OneRoomShed ohh I am so sorry.. that is good that it doesn’t smell to often. When I lived in Texas the city water there is so bad they are constantly having to up the chemicals because of bacteria and then you smell like a swimming pool for a week.

@@Cynararose that's terrible. Our water has a slight chlorine smell but it's not too bad. Most of the time I don't even notice it anymore. I definitely will not drink it. I make ice cubes with bottled water because it doesn't trust it. Funny because I have to decide between chemicals and micro plastics. Sigh.... (Lol).

@@OneRoomShed I always know when it’s gonna be bad before they even announce it too because all the sudden I have a really bad breakout and two days later water smells like a pool and there is a boil notice… it got so bad I put a filter on my bathroom sink to be able to wash my face. I don’t drink tap water pretty much never. I run on Fiji water. Ohhh I didn’t think about Fiji water ice cubes…. May have to try that one

@@Cynararose we don't get any kind of notice but every once and a while I do notice the chlorine smell is stronger. Definitely try the ice cube thing. It's funny cause I can see the difference in the cubes. With the bottle water the ice is almost crystal clear. With tap water it's totally foggy. As a side note, thank God the weekend is almost here. I had enough of the heat wave here in Jersey. Enjoy the weekend!!! 😃

Between the cats at my parents and my house we have 5 orange babies. Let me tell you the only female of the group holds every other orange cat’s brain cell hostage! Of all the cats though my orange ones are definitely on another level.
