Been loving the vids and the shorts! Question: when you make the whole for the trap… do you use the probe or your finger to clean the tunnel on each side so it’s visible? Or do you keep it the same when you opened the tunnel? Appreciate it

gopherhawk stinks for moles. It's not the right size for the holes so you have to do all this extra work to get the trap to sit up right. this is crap for moles. get a wiretek 1001

I worked in pest control for 28 years. These work great in a private backyard environment. However in the commercial industry, these will create a lot of unwanted attention from the rodent loving public. They may be intentionally damaged. Just my experience. But they do work!

I have pocket gophers and have caught 8+ with the Gopherhawk but its very difficult for me to find their tunnels. I've only had luck finding a dirt mound and placing a trap closeby. Probing around, you don't feel the obvious break in resistance like you would with a larger tunnel.

I’d find this very cruel if I’ve seen this a year ago, now I am in pest control business. I don’t have anything to say 😅 we gotta do what we gotta do.

I just got 5 more traps. I use an auger bit slightly smaller than the tube. I pull the dirt out as I go, then wallow the hole to fit. I also use the open end of the tool to pull up loose dirt in the tunnel. They do get more wary after a while and it can take longer the second or third time.

Awesome!!! I look everyday for another gopher hole but none so far. We have had lots of rain so thinking once that stops long enough,,, probably will be back. Only got the one with the gopherhawk but then haven't seen anymore. Wondering if burying it back in the hole has anything to do with not finding anymore??? Who knows.... lol

The wire trap can be re-straiten on a vise with a 1 1/2 metal pipe, small torch propane heat and round off wire with small hammer needle nose pliers to remove pins from plastic assembly SAVE $10.00

Nicely done! I've caught a couple with the Gopherhawk, and solid dispatch, but I've yet to catch one using your extra hole for light technique, but I'll keep trying. Just makes sense. I've have had lots of success with the out-of-sight jaw type, 10-15 per year, on 10 acres. Thanks for the video.

Hi Troy!! Squirrels also??? Yahoo!! I haven't seen another gopher mound since my first trap with the GopherHawk.. Following your way of using the 3 hole method worked so good. Now I am starting to see squirrels so hoping to catch the ground squirrels,,,,, they get as bad or worse than the gopher! Thanks for sharing your experience with catching both!!
