I play flute and something similar happened to me. We were playing a song and I don’t play for four measures but I forgot………at least I played loudly and confidently for once

I like playing marches - don't like playing sousa though. I feel like he's too algorithmic. He comes up with a melody, does some counter point, and bang, a march. It's reasonable for the time constraints he was working in and they're good pieces. I just feel like they serve best as marches and not concert music

John Phillips Sousa we played alot of Sousa by 12th grade you had them memorized , for vets day program, vet day parade, and any other community events that required that style of music, usually brass quartets our high-school had a couple of groups it was alot of fun

Yall i had a solo in 7th grade and my saxophone BROKE RIGHT BEFORE I WAS GOING TO PLAY like it worked fine when u was warming up 😭😭 and it was a huge concert like there was 300ish people

I play the French Horn and when my lips are getting super tired, that's when my high notes start becoming more and more poo poo. I don't have the energy to get them out at that point 😂😂😂
