Hey! I dont. I run my TD17 through EZDrummer 2 for my samples while playing and recording. (I now have EZDrummer 3).

The cymbal all the way to the right? The sound/sample I used on that pad for this song is a 20inch Sabian HHX Evolution Ozone Crash. It's an amazing trash-like crash cymbal that I love having on my right side for accents

No post processing. Just boosted the gain a little in Ableton. The pop punk EZX expansion was seemingly mixed at a lower volume/gain than the core library was. I may have raised some individual volumes of drums/cymbals in EZD

Hell yea!! I recommend looking into EZ Drummer. IT's what I use for the samples and legit feels/sounds like im playing a real acoustic kit in a studio. Have fun with it!

Thanks Dustin!! The sounds you hear are coming from a VST/plugin called EZ Drummer 2. I run that through Ableton Live and connect the PC to the TD17 via a USB cable. You cant really download the kit, but the software/plugin is affordable for what it is and is a super nice investment!

Thanks! Yep is the John Feldmann pop/punk pack for EZD. I have the kit’s gain cranked a few db’s to give a little more girth. But that’s also The Knife preset. So, most of the kit, even the hats, are crisper and louder. I had to CRANK the ride up to make that audible enough in the mix.

I’ve noticed that EZX’s presets are a LOT lower in volume than the base EZD presets. Just need to crank up the gain and/or raise the volume in your DAW. I use Ableton Live in Windows.

It’s not even so much the volume, it’s the actual playability from the Hi-Hats. They seem more sluggish and prone to missing velocities than other EZX’s. I’m not sure why, I’ll investigate more. I love the EZX other than that 👌🏻

@@kikodrums9239 Interesting. I was going to say maybe it's latency or hi-hat calibration but if it's just with that specific EZX I'm not sure what's happening. I'm still very new to running VST's hahah. Hope you can get it figured out! My only gripe is that they used a 4 piece kit in that EZX so I cant map my 3rd tom pad to anything and I have to move that cable to the 2nd tom and you'll just never see me hit the 3rd tom pad when I use that EZX
