Mag mic is the bomb … I have a under saddle as well to push things forward. I use the tone bone acoustic pre to eq both and blend . It’s a dramatic, semi natural sonic experience. Going from that set up to a single piezo straight into a pa is like having half your body removed. I’ve tried a lot of things .. I’d say go anthem or Seymour’s other internal sound hole system if you don’t want this bar across your sound hole . But if you’re dedicated to live performance and want the most robust , pleasant, reactive sound go Mag mic with your choice of under saddle and eq and blend them both . Seems like pain but once you dial it with the tone bone it’s a absolute game changer. Good video…

At first its really hard to decide but after listening closer for sum time the ku5a has magic to it that the shure sm7b doesnt have Both are nice , i allways searchd for a mic with similar charackter as the sm7b , seems the ku5a is it Did you used the hpf Filter on it?

I'm surprised how much prefer the MagMic. Not perfect, but just a better system, to my ears. I own multiple Anthem systems, and this is confirming what I think every time I play them.

JB- jazz is my favorite combination ever but in this case Seth lovers sound better. For a superstrat guitar there's nothing better than the JB-jazz combo

Mag mic seems warmer, but both of these seem like they could add something depending on what you're doing. Interesting. This is gonna be a hard choice.

Great review. I like the comparison of the two pickups and feel the Seymour Duncan wins because of resonance sound. Brings out the wood tones. your playing was just right to hear the features of the pickups as well. Seymour Duncan also sounds better blended with mic for strumming. Thanks

The telecaster is in my opinion a very versatile guitar! Of course the player had lots of thing to do whit it but You can play any style of music whit a telecaster

I'm glad you covered up the pickups with your hand. The back of your hand was so much more important than easy identification of the pickups. That was your goal, right? "Yes, Officer - that's the back of the hand I saw-!" Thumbs down on just about the worst choice in camera angles. (Behind your back might have been worse, although I hope you won't try that for MY benefit.)

The sound of these two was actually not too dissimilar overall, though the Fishman might be a bit more brilliant on the top end....at least that's how it sounds through my headphones haha. I actually quite liked the sound of the 902.

This was really interesting, I'm glad you did a comparison of these two. Generally I think I like the sound of the Mag Mic better overall, especially with the mic turned up higher. But it seems like it didn't come through as clearly as the M1 does when doing the body response. Did one of these feel better to you than the other when you were trying them out?
