    The tests were super useful. Would just want to ask, did you experience any autofocus issues using this filter or any significant problems with image quality? Was there any bad glaring or ghosting?

    • @NaturalProfile
      @NaturalProfile 12 дней назад

      Greetings. I haven't checked ghosting or glare in any test. I use the filter for just basic setups. I no longer use the other filters from before and just use the Neewer filter for most of my purposes. Maybe I might do some tests in the future again to see what the results are but I continue to use this filter and do a custom white balance when using it. pretty basic. The Panasonic s5 has some issues with autofocus but for what I wanted the filter to do its fine for the basic video or photos I take. Peace be unto you

    I got a Godox TT685ii so I can use it as the on camera trigger for the AD200pro. For the life of me I cannot get them to flash together. When I test flash, it works and they both flash. Wheni take a picture, the on camera flash is the only one flashing. What am I doing wrong?

      Greetings. I was doing some tests on the Panasonic s5 to see using the 685, but my tt685 was meant for canon and it doesn't cooperate with the Panasonic my canon camera no longer works. I used the TT600 as a master flash on camera without a problem to trigger the tt685. Maybe there just some settings that can be changed, Dive into the manual to see, all models may work differently. If someones knows or has advice feel free to comment. Peace be unto you

    I own both these flashes, and although they work well with the Godox triggers, they have horrible color. They lean heavy green +1G and are about 6000K. So they are both very green and blue. The Blue is not as bad because when mixing with available light, you can warm up your image and the background will just be warmer. But when you have to add +1 magenta to correct a subjects skin tones, it makes everything else pink. The only good news is that the color, although off, is pretty consistent throughout the power range. So if you go from full power to 1/128 you can apply the same corrections in Lightroom. I gave up on these flashes and just have them in a container in my closet. Cheers!

      Greetings. I see the color differences between the two. Ive done a few test and doing some more coming up with custom in camera white balance and or kelvin temps with the tt600, Were you using a color target (color checker or data color) to help with editing for color?or just for a reference when using each flash or strobes. Myself using the tt685 for many years now, Ive had good results when it comes to colors, Calibrated monitor In camera Custom white Balance, custom color profiles then white balance in software where it barely changes, indoors when its controlled, out doors its can change alot more as you probably already know colors can change quickly during the day.I know the color palettes of different camera brands vary, sometimes alot. With the tt685 the skin tones Ive been working with are coming out fine for portraits but I setup most scenes to eliminate color contamination from other sources, but that's not always possible depending on the environment and sounds like you have a good amount of experience. Also using more the tt685 at events its done the job. I'm not looking for perfection anymore when it comes to events as I get older just to document them. Other people might be interested in what you upgraded to from these older models, for more consistant colors. I was considering the Westcott/Jinbei roundhead flash in the future. Peace be unto you

    • @NaturalProfile
      @NaturalProfile Месяц назад

      Greetings. I don't own or have used the s5ii but I think it would, one thing to take into consideration is the delay on Panasonic using Godox flash on camera. There are videos covering the delay. There was a firmware talked about for the s5ii for the delay but I don't know the results as I have the original s5. Maybe other Photographers that use the s5ii might be able to answer you with their experience using the trigger. Peace be unto you

    As I expected, the DCP profile created by the Calibration software from my own ColorChecker shot is giving me a DE00 of 18.85 which is not very good IMHO. Using my workflow I can get that down to < DE00 2, which should be enough for any reproduction work, or a pretty good starting point for any colour grading, and it would give the same results whatever the camera that was used. For general photography, your workflow, may be sufficient for most people however. A quick note, a DE00 of 1 is considered as a just noticeable difference.

    Very interesting, I keep tinkering with Rawtherapee but I can't work out how to get a pleasing photo with the minimum amount of mouse clicks.

    • @NaturalProfile
      @NaturalProfile 9 месяцев назад

      Greetings. It can take some time due to every photo being so different (exposure, light the angle of light, composition etc). In the video the custom profile that was created the tone curve was a gentle curve to start from so I could make adjustments to the shadows and highlight to get the contrast in the image that was pleasing to me for the final result. I don't have a simple answer because editing is personal what someone wants there final photo to look like and what looks pleasing them. Maybe if you create a few different profiles with different tone curves to start with or even the auto match tone curve so you have a few option to choose from when you open your images in RT then maybe we can use the minimum amount of mouse clicks to get the result that you might want. It would be great to get the results with a few clicks creating a custom profile like a preset in other programs. Even when other photographers talk about presets they mention its a starting point. I'm not sure it that helps, there just my thought on the subject. Peace be unto you.

    Can you crop from outside the frame (as you can in Affinity) so that no part of the original image is lost? There will be a blank space at the top and bottom or either side (depending on the crop ratio) of the image which can be filled with a solid colour using the fill tool.

    • @NaturalProfile
      @NaturalProfile 10 месяцев назад

      Greetings. When someone saves there custom profile instead of just renaming an existing one like I did in the example, it should come up as a raw file extension like CR2 for canon or RW2 for a panasonic camera. eg (1245773.RW2.pp3). Then you can name your custom profile what you like. Just make sure you keep the .pp3 to save your new custom profile. I hope that helps. Peace be unto you

    For me, this is a most useful and effective video. It is so for some key reasons, when compared to too many other 'tutorial' style videos here. The first reason, for me, is that you demonstrate a good understanding of an appropriate pace for audio-visual communication on a technical subject. You do not act such as to make the viewer think that the industrial strength laxative you ingested 30 minutes ago is about to prove effective, or that the studio is on fire. Well done. Secondly, you demonstrate quite clearly, using the mouse pointer, precisely what the many options - a lot of them not obviously apparent - do, in this functionally rich tool. This gives the viewer confidence to try for themself. Thirdly, you point out some of the 'side effects' and how to cater for them. Overall, then, a most valuable 20 minutes or so of my time. Thank you.

    Thanks a lot as usual! It is always interesting to watch a comparison between an open source software such as RawTherapee and a commercial one (Lightroom). In your view, are there some big advantages about using Rawtherapee from a pure tecnical prospect compared to Lightroom (that is, not considering the obvious free aspects)? At home, I have been using both Rawtherapee and Dxo Photolab. The latter allows you to create dcp files without passing through Adobe dng converter. At work, I only work with Rawtherapee since I can install it on many computers for free. Needless to say, Happy new year!

      Greetings. I don't think I have that amount of understanding about comparing Rawtherapee to other programs like Lightroom. As for editing, I try to make it as simple as I can.
