Dead and Bloated - Stone Temple Pilots (Cover)
Another fantastic album opener! Fun fact! Scott Weiland (RIP) screamed into Dean DeLeo's Gibson Les Paul with the gain cranked up all the way for the songs opening. I first experimented with screaming through my hands cupped to see if that makes me sound pretty distant and muffled, but that failed. I noticed a folded up blanket and I thought that could work. I was pleased with how that turned out and I felt like Kenny McCormick from South Park. When STP performed this live, Scott would use a bullhorn, so I borrowed one from work. The lyrics of the song are just merely a "stream of consciousness" and not really more than that. This song always makes me want to give a military salute when I...

Rocket - The Smashing Pumpkins (Cover)
Просмотров 121Месяц назад
This is one of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs. There were songs I already knew from when I was growing up, but I never did a deep dive of their entire catalogue. One of my guitar teachers uploaded a lesson of this song and I was trying so hard not to listen to this song, because I didn't want any spoilers. I failed to ignore this track and I ended up listening to it and that's when my opin...
Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden (Vocal Cover)
Просмотров 1202 месяца назад
Black Hole Sun was the first song by Soundgarden I listened to. I heard it on a Classic Rock radio station and I was surprised to hear a 90s song on a classic rock station. Oh how the times have changed! I was already sold on Chris Cornell from performing Hunger Strike with Chester Bennington. From there I fell in love with Temple of the Dog and was eager to check out Soundgarden. When I first ...
Where Did You Sleep Last Night? - Nirvana (Cover)

I apologize if you see a light flicker in the background. That's due to my green screen not being stretched tight enough and I also need to use my steam iron on the wrinkles. I tried my absolute hardest to smooth them all out, but some just wouldn't budge. I spent many hours working on trying to smooth out the flickers. I absolutely love this song Nirvana covered at their MTV unplugged concert ...
Crossing A Line - Mike Shinoda (Vocal Cover)
Просмотров 683 месяца назад
This is a song about having to make a difficult decision in life and the fears on how others will react/respond and if they will be supportive. Mike was trying to figure out what was next for him after the passing of Chester Bennington and what was the best thing for him to do musically, and was afraid of how his fellow bandmates would respond. This song is so full of raw emotions, which is why...
Take A Picture - Filter (Vocal Cover)
Просмотров 914 месяца назад
This is one of those great songs about the rock n roll lifestyle and the embarrassing drunken behavior that I don't miss about drinking. As you can imagine, Richard Patrick's father was offended by a lyric in this song, but he said the meaning has changed over time. Take A Picture is another song that I could barely hear at work, but I loved the guitar tone and the screaming and thought this wa...
Drown - Smashing Pumpkins (Vocal Cover)
Просмотров 1144 месяца назад
I feel like this is a very underrated Smashing Pumpkins song since it was not released on any studio album, but as a promotional single from the soundtrack album to the film Singles. It was also released on their greatest hits album, Rotten Apples. I love the overall flowy feel of the song, the groove and especially the e-bow guitar work in the song. This is the shorter version of the song, and...
Something - The Beatles (A Vocal Cover)

One of the most covered songs of all time and a personal favorite of mine, I am covering The Beatles' song Something. I wanted to mix things up a bit and sing some Classic Rock songs and take a little break from the 90s/00s. Enjoy this classic! Song: Something Band: The Beatles Album: Abbey Road Songwriter: George Harrison Producer: George Martin Label: Apple

Muzzle - Smashing Pumpkins (Song Cover)
lol the weird thing is the chorus is much more in tune than the verses
I want to say some hearing damage I've caused has made some parts to be slightly out of tune, but at the end of the day I will have a new cover of this song and it'll be even better!
Great job man !
Thanks a lot!
💀
💀
at least you tried bro..hats off
Thanks. I've still got a lot to work to improve
You should do lips of an Angel by Hinder I think that would be magical
I'm not familiar with this song or band but I'll definitely check it out. Thank you!
Amazing performance
Thank you so much!
@@LaffSoundsIncProductions you’re welcome big dog don’t ever stop, don’t let nobody get you down. You have greatness within you
@@howdysir6209 This means so much to me thank you!!

Thank you! You too!
Gracias. Me permití aprovechar tu cover para acompañarte con mi guitarra
Very cool thank you!
Good job! I knew you would rock it 👍
Thank you so much!
You can do better
Gotta keep practicing
Man, I need an mp3 of this to do a drum cover with these vocals!
That would be sick!!
Great job man!!!! Loved this one 👏👏👏
Thank you buddy!
Love this one. Another banger bud.
I appreciate it thank you!
An awesome choice. One of my favorites from Nirvana. Don't stop!
It's always a favorite!
I love your energy man. Please do the door by silverchair if you have the chance. I think it'll suit you well. Keep it up!
I appreciate it! That's a great song! I'll have to learn it for sure!
I like it. More green day too!
Thank you! I have plenty more Green Day songs to cover!
👏👏👏
Thank you!
So good, just like I want to sound when I sing along.
Thank you!
Howard Wallowitz?
Yes lol
Try sustaining your notes and staying in key
Will do! This was quite the challenge
@LaffSoundsIncProductions Its obvious that your timbre of voice suits alice in chains and layne staley but I see more exaggeration and imitation, it's very important to take note of Laynes use of vibrato and singing behind the beat (slightly) these things make the song and the emotional expression of the song.
@@bigdawg6308 Thanks for the tip!! I've got a lot of work to do!
Hey man, keep it up! Don’t let negative comments get you down. I’m a singer too, and I can tell you I was not the best for a very long time. You have a great grasp on this song, but my critique for you would be to focus on breath control, transitions, & tone and dial back your volume just a little bit. If we get out of touch with tone & pitch, we start to just...scream, haha. Don’t only push up from your stomach, start feeling that shit in your toes and PUSH it! Also, keeping your soft palette open. Make yourself yawn over and over again and quickly you’ll have control over your soft palette. Watch some classical vocal training videos, that type of training helps with any type of vocals. Obviously there will be some modifications to make for songs like this, but that knowledge will help you learn how to operate your voice the way you want. I’ve seen your Layne Staley covers too, and both him & Kurt have very difficult voices to emulate. You will always do your best singing as yourself, but delivering similar to them versus trying to do an impression (something I learned the hard way while covering Mariah Carey songs when I don’t sound like Mariah, I sound more like Miley Cyrus - who has become an amazing vocalist as an adult, check out her rock covers). I’d also recommend you listen *very* carefully to Chris Cornell’s vocals, listen to isolated vocal tracks; listen to how he works his voice up to the higher notes and how he navigates his voice. Chris was an incredibly gifted singer who is very hard to emulate, but the way he used his voice as an instrument is definitely something any vocalist can learn from. Keep it up dude. You’ll get there. You know Layne’s stepbrother (IIRC) told Layne that he wasn’t a very good singer back when he was in his high school hair metal band? And then Layne practiced and practiced and gave the world some of the most unique and best vocals not only in rock/alternative/metal, but of all time. Nobody comes out the womb sounding like that, it all takes time, practice, and learning. You’re on the right track, you’ll get there! Best of wishes to you dude!
Thank you so much for all of your advice!! Chris was on a whole new level. So incredible! 🙏🏻
Howard?
Hahahaha maybe
Is this satire
Yeah, well... man I don't know. I'm afraid of the answer 😂
Just having fun
🤔🤪
Kurt 2.0
Thank you!
Lol!! Good job bro!!
Thank you!
lol
😂
W man!!!
Thank you!
Good job 😂👍. I mean, not the best vocals but keep it up. I see passion in what you are doing and the way you sing makes me want to leave a like.
Yeah that's the struggles when I record with headphones...my performance is even better without them. But I need them to record. So I do the best I can and keep learning for next time 🤘🏻
Good job my friend!!
Thank you!
Better than I could do! Gotta give you credit for even trying to cover Layne.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it
I did not like this at first but honestly its quite an impressive attempt and I really like how you just went for it. Thank you algorithm Gods.
Thanks for the comment! I think the imperfections and the mediocre-ness of it is what gives it more of a grunge attitude 🙂
@@LaffSoundsIncProductions Hi! I didn't like it at first because its AIC, its sacred. Honestly, don't say it was mediocre, don't put yourself down. It was really good considering that you were singing in someone else's voice instead of your own. Look how good you could be in five years. Also grow your hair out.
@@eugenegaylord438 I greatly appreciate it! That's where I am so hesitant because it is AIC. It is so sacred, and that's why I'm afraid to do Linkin Park covers because I don't want to tarnish Chester. Singing like this after many takes trying to get it down just destroys my voice, but I've noticed a lot of improvements over the past couple of years. As for my hair...hah! I do love growing it out a lot, but my dad said I looked homeless last time lol
@@LaffSoundsIncProductions Just do what you want to do, you can't please everyone. Iggy Pop and Black Sabbath were not liked to begin with but now they are legends. I don't know if you take singing lessons or music lessons but you definitely should be, don't mess your voice up if you can prevent it. Listen to your dad, I used to have a similar kind of haircut and I was always compared to Ed Sheeran. I don't even like Ed Sheeran.
@@eugenegaylord438 I appreciate it! It's been a long time since I've had voice lessons but yes, I should find a teacher so I can learn how to properly sing aggressively. I need to find my Zen and the Art of Screaming DVDs. Funny about the Ed Sheeran hair!
you have great vocals, I just think you should practice a little more to singing in time. That aside, great vocals!
Yeah I should have re-recorded that part lol. Oh well
Howard Wolowitz vibes. See you on Big Bang Theory tonight 😂
Hahaha!
Great performance my friend!!
Thank you!
Dude, I love your stuff. You sound like I want to sound when I sing along.
Oh wow thanks a lot!!! Best of luck to you! What I'm learning now is to really push from my stomach and my throat to sing like this. It isn't easy and it's tiring for sure.
Thanks very much! Working on it.

Thank you!
