We are headed for Clay’s 44th PDL tomorrow morning! How can it be his 44th surgery already? It feels each one takes so long to arrive and yet it comes too quickly. Each month, they can use their coupon to experience something together as a family. January was a strawberry picking coupon. It feels every day and every week is so, so busy! But, last week was at another level. As we are both working full time and raising our three beautiful children together, getting time alone does not come easy. We are always thankful for the lovely evening with dinner, dancing, and possible prizes hosted by our school. Since a few years ago, we have taken this opportunity to make it our date night/morning as well by staying the night at the hotel. We are thankful for our parents who are able to provide care and love for our babies so we can spend time together. A few weeks ago, we were able to take our kids to watch their first circus, James' too! We were in awe of everything we saw and experienced during the show. Our youngest choir members were invited again to perform during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Grand Hyatt in Incheon. What a special privilege and honor for our students! It was extra special as James was one of the teachers coleading this group for a couple of years now. And our baby Clayton was part of the choir as well! The Grand Hyatt bus came and picked us up from our school. Once we arrived, we had a special room to store our belongings. Then, before the short but beautiful ceremony, we had some light snacks and drinks for children and adults with a lucky draw, too! We ended the night with a visit to the delicious buffet. Surprisingly, I didn't take any photos or videos of the food! I guess I was too busy eating? 😆 Happy December!!! #christmastree #children'schoir

In our busy day-to-day lives as working parents, it is easier just to do it ourselves. But, when they REALLY want to contribute as a family member and learn how to cook together, bring on the patience and late meal time. 🤣 In these moments, I have to keep reminding myself that these requests may not last. Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends back home!!! We started our day with Noah's high fever, resulting in a full day at the hospital. Noah has been confirmed with the flu, but he was such a trooper! We braved through our strong emotions of fear, nervousness, and anxiety. It wasn't easy in the midst of crying/ screamingcrying everywhere. Our moments of pride and thankfulness today: * no tears during the covid/flu test (the doctor went soooo deeeep, it was just as bad to watch) * no tears when the IV went in and out * a private room to rest for the 2 hours of IV treatment * bloodwork determined he was good to go home * much needed nap time for mommy and son The list can go on with all the things we are thankful for today. #thankful #family #goawayflu

We are off for Clay's 43rd procedure today! His surgery was scheduled for December, but we were on the waitlist for any cancellations. We got the call on Saturday afternoon for an opening this morning. We took it, of course, and here we are. This quote has always touched me whenever I came across it. It often helps in guiding our conversations with our babies, especially when they are difficult talks. But, we feel this quote is just as important for Clay and the village of family and friends we have around the world thinking and praying for our baby. As I have been gearing up for a 10-ish day trip to Greece with a group of students, Noah has not been shy in expressing his 'sadness' of me being gone. Lo and behold, I found out the truth tonight! 🤣 After our laugh, he did say, "But of course I will just miss you, mommy." 🥰

The best part of going on trips with kids.... making all the memories! 🥰

We love the ease of being able to walk to a nearby Starbucks for an afternoon drink and dessert. And of course, spending time together... talking, playing, laughing, fighting, and making amends. 🤣

Our Kim fam was able to visit USJ for two days!!! It was SO much fun! Here's a quick sneak peak of our two days there! Of course, most of our time was spent in Super Nintendo World, BUT, the other parts of the park did not disappoint!! #familyoffive #makingmemories

Happy Chuseok, everyone! One benefit of living abroad in Korea is being closer to family: grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins! We celebrated the day with food, making songpyeon, hanging out, playing at a kid's cafe, prayer, allowance for kids, and even more food! #chuseok #family

We visited Osaka Castle during our stay. Highly recommend purchasing your tickets prior to going. Klook offers ticket sales but needs to be purchased the day before. It would have saved us a LOT of time - lesson learned. Each floor had so much information, and it was interesting to learn. Memories: 1. Getting pooped on by a bird while resting under some shade 2. Finding some pumpkin spice latte at a nearby Starbucks after our visit before heading out.

Upon returning from our trip, we found our car with ease from the long-term parking lot at the Incheon Airport. It was good to note that there are shuttles between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in case you parked in a different lot from your arrival. The shuttle came within 5 to 7 minutes and took 10 or fewer minutes to arrive at our stop. Another bonus was no toll was paid on our trip home due to the Chuseok holiday, yay! #longtermparking

On our way to Osaka from Incheon, we didn't have time for dinner since we were running straight after work to catch our flights. Thankfully, the check-in was faster than expected, and with extra time, we checked out the SPC lounge in Terminal 2. Our kids were happy to find a place to lounge, eat, and drink in comfort. #prioritypass #icn
