Intelligent Stock Investing
США
Добавлен 26 авг 2020
This channel is about helping you become a better stock market investor so you can reach financial freedom sooner - It's not about using the stock market for gambling or speculation.
Here we'll talk about the value investing fundamentals of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger and other super investors that follow a value investing approach to investing in the stock market.
Stocks represent an ownership interest in a business. Behind every stock is a business - and if the business does well, so will the stock. However, even the most amazing business can be a bad investment if you pay too much for it. To make good stock investments it's important to pay a sensible price. Value Investors calculate the intrinsic value of a company and then look to buy it on the open stock market when prices are favourable.

Great Video..!!❤
So im interested in purchasing stock i have a question first for clarification in order to see any profit will i need to invest at minimum the stock price?
Buffet and his buddy held a conference a few years ago and said all the under valued company's were gone invest accordingly. They have taken all the good stuff and your holding the so so stuff get it.
That is one great explanation. Thanks.
Good video. But I wouldn't pay 500k for that tree. That would take 10 years to double my money. You can find better than that anywhere in the market.
Please help… What does it mean to have shares in a NON-TRADING company? Is it just a waiting game until they hopefully trade publicly?
This has been the most straight forward video about DCF for me.
Nice! Thanks for breaking it down 👍
Thank you!
What's is the math you do to know if the share is under valued?
beside the year 1 to 10 of 12% growth, the rest(7%, 5%,-5%) are basically guess-work. the final PV will be totally different depend on your guess-work
I don't get how they can just issue new shares out of nowhere while keeping the share price the same. Doesn't that just increase their valuation from nothing?
Yeah, seems like a conflict of interest to me
Great video. Easy to understand
Why am i struggeling with this? Finding the EPS trend. -0,49 / -0,78 / -0,04 / -0,08 / 0,21 so this formula should be (0,21/-0,49)^(1/4)-1 = Error...... power evaluates to an imaginary number. Tryed (0,21/-0,49)^(1/5)-1 = -184,41%....thats wrong. (0,21/ABS-0,49)^(1/4)-1 = -19,09% wrong again.... What do i do wrong here?
You cant do it with negative numbers
@@janbartos4502 So there is no way to do this?
@@SneakyWoolCloth I personaly dont know but you can check out Aswath Damodaran which is a very respected guy about valuation and I think he talks about your scenario in one of his videos
Very straight forward what I'm still trying to understand is. If I owned the bakery that generated the 50k per year. I would recieve income as well as still owning the asset. But if I buy stocks even though the EPS says that the company is generating X income per share. I the investor do not recieve any income. I can only hope for the stock price to increase.
If you own the whole bakery that generates 50k net income you have the choice to declare a dividend for 50k and pocket that money but you also have the option to pay down corporate debt if applicable, reinvest, open another bakery etc. as the 100% owner you will do what is in your best interest considering the long term not just this year. Same thing happens with a public company but it’s the ceo making these decisions on your behalf because that’s the guy the owners hired to do that.. sometimes a dividend is in the best interest of the shareholders, sometimes it’s not. Often it’s not. If you conclude the ceo is not acting in your best interests you should sell your shares (or never buy in the first place). Share price will follow intrinsic value of the long term you just have to trust and have faith in this truth.
VEry informative, You put it together really good! Thanks
5th: dollar cost averaging. This is such an effective formula to get a low price.
Who’s going to the Casino with me?
🔥 🔥 🔥
Good
Is there a site or app that will show you that intrinsic value line when looking at stock info? Don't think I've seen this on yahoo finance
Tangentially related point -- CEOs tend to be paid mostly in stocks so the CEO of Apple gets rewarded when stock price goes up even though a stock buyer's money isn't going directly to him
If companies receive all the cash during the IPO why are they so beholden to shareholders? Ie what incentive do they have to make the stock price go up? Simply the opportunity to issue new shares at an overvalued price?
This is why you want the ceo to also own a large amount of stock
@@IntelligentStockInvesting some might argue companies are too beholden to investors these says, eschewing long term health for short term gains.
Depends on the ceo look at Berkshire Markel NVR etc.
Best video
Loved the video! It’s so crucial to invest in promising sectors, and $MYNZ (Mainz Biomed) looks like a standout in biotech. They’re making significant strides, and I’ve seen them being talked about a lot in social media and Discord. Investing in such innovative companies could really pay off in the long run.
So basically it's just gaming the books to make the top shareholders more rich.. Got it
Incorrect there’s nothing gaming about it and all shareholders benefit (or suffer) equally from buy backs.
Remember, this was against the law until Reagan.
Can you talk about CBDC and are they using it to cover up the devaluation of the US dollar?
Not something you gotta stress about if you own good companies inflation is your friend
Bro you explains good, but i would suggest you toake your video 🎥 more interesting with the help of animation would make more easier for your viewers. Thanx for useful information🙏😊
Thank you
Some of my other videos had lots of animation but it was really tough to edit them and took a long time
Your explanation is brilliant
Is possible to share this spreadsheet
Check the description or comments I think I shared a link in this video or another
thank you :)
As of last model "why not to invest in crypto": I think if you try to model crypto as one worl currency, than you would not add 11T worth of gold but whole world market capitalization of all currencies and those returns would be very different 🙏 Thx dor video and I hope you changed your mind and have already some crypto 🤣🙏
Still no crypto for me for the same reason as always - I’d rather own a company that creates value and generates a cash flow. I prefer that over owning a currency and hoping it goes up in value. I also prefer that over lending my money out for a modest return. I just prefer to own companies that produce something of value.
If the company is a small cap and has growth potential of 2x next year the PE even if currently 100 would be halfed. I say market is always future looking growth.
❤❤

Perfect I’m glad it helped :)
Very educational. Thanks for making such a good video.
I watched some of the RUclips share market bubble videos but they are not that clear. Can you please make a video about “SHARE MARKET BUBBLE”
Great explainer thank you
So if I own 20 shares of a company, paying 1$ per share in dividends every year, and they decide to buyback shares, since there are less shares outstanding I get a dividend increase also? Does this translates into a dividend raise just by the fact that the company bought back shares?
Yes if the company paid the same amount in dividends each shareholder would get a larger cut of that amount with less shares outstanding.
Great content! Thank you!
Hey Richard, thanks for the informative video. I wonder how the discount rate will affect the IRR here, because according to your calculation, it seems like they don't affect each other. I'm understanding it like this: buying a stock at a cost which is higher than its estimated intrisic value, even higher 30-40%, is still totally okay if IRR results me 20%?
Ya it’s all about the IRR. Compare the IRR of multiple investment opportunities and select your favourites
The best explanation!
Thanks
So can a person buy the whole company of Apple Inc using it's market cap???
All of the owners of all of Apple shares would need to sell their shares to you for you to buy the whole company. Technically it’s possible.
very helpful! thanks.
How would a beginner investor know how much they’d pay for a whole company?
By looking at the financial statements (how much money the company makes and how much money and assets the company has) and then using their brain.
@@IntelligentStockInvesting so this hypothetical beginner (and I have to stress the descriptor BEGINNER) is supposed to do this analysis in order to not deserve your condescension?
No offence was meant. My answer is just straightforward. To value a company you look at how much profit it makes currently, and you make an educated guess about whether that will continue in the future. This is found in the financial statements and by using your brain for some critical thinking. For most companies that will be too hard to do so a lot of companies you look at will go in the “too hard” pile. There is a learning curve but it’s not impossible by any means. Beginner just means you have more to learn. Good luck. The learning never stops in this endeavour so fall in love with learning and thinking.
Hey, I’m just starting out in investing what the the best books to read to get to grips with the basic please
I would start with the outsider CEOs by William thorndyke, 100 baggers, and the little book that beats the market by Joel greenblatt
