at 5:01 did the lady forget to place water ALSO in outer bowl as directed?
Anyone know how the auto steam cleaning system works? The instructions are not clear at all. The rice itself is awesome. It cooks perfectly with grains seperate and not mushy. I'm using jasmine rice. 3 cups (3/4 rice cups) + 3 cups (3/4 rice cups) of you water and it cooks beautifully. It's 1 cup of water for each cup of rice. I tried the turbo mode and the rice still tastes great but it's slightly better if you use the regular cycle. Clean up has been a breeze so far.

I have one from my mom used for over 30 years, made in Taiwan and finally broken today. It did more than just cooking rice. I couldn't have survived the past 2 decades as a busy working mom without Tatung rice cooker. Lol. I'm shopping for a new one to replace it. I can't find another brand with similar features of easy-to-operate and easy-to-clean features. So I'm gonna buy another Tatung again. Glad to come across your review. In old days, Tatung was well known for its durability and long product life. But nowadays the company manufactured many of her products in China that were said to be less reliable than the original products made in Taiwan. My friends complained about those made in China. Sadly the products listed on Amazon do not label the country of origin. I hope this model comes from Taiwan, not China.
I got mine in Amazon USA，and it is labeled at the bottom Made in China! Have been using since 2015 ! Also if you wondered about the manufacturing country，when they don’t say ，it is made in China! When it is made in Taiwan ， it will definitely labeled as manufactured in Taiwan !
Does anyone else not know how to use the reheat function? I’m not sure why I can’t get the arrow to point to “reheat”
Can you cook a box of beef rice a roni in the bottom of A 8 cup Aroma Rice Cooker and steam veggies on top at the same time? And do you choose brown rice setting or white rice setting?

The cup that comes with it is only for measuring the rice. Water should be added to the cooking pot to the corresponding line. Ex: 1 cup rice, fill to the 1 line; 2 cups rice, fill to the 2 line, etc.

After washing the parts you went directly to cooking with no mention of the measuring parts of rice or water. No salt or oil, no wonder it burnt. No a good review. So disappointed!

Good callout! It's traditional to add some cream as the base (under the 'pasta'); our simplified recipe omits this step. Definitely a tasty touch for those cream lovers, that is true to many traditional spaghetti eis recipes! Its important to keep the serving plates very cold for that approach not to melt the cream!
have you never seen a review before? I can read the specs online, what I want to know is how it cooks rice. brown rice, white rice, sushi rice. sheesh
You are supposed to wash the rice before you cook it to remove excess starch! Doh!

I heard that pre packed long grain & basmati rice sold in EU is already pre washed and no real need to repeat washing process. Maybe I have been amiss but when cooking my rice above for indian dishes over the years I have not pre washed.

There is no voice setting. You need to buy a 6 cup rice cooker to get that feature.

We do recommend always rinsing your rice before cooking, but generally edit that out of our demos.
Always use calrose, rinse rice 3 times if you make 2 cups add 2 cups of water and a little but more water...makes perfect rice. I eat rice since i was 4 yrs until now i eat it every day with every meal,my daughter love it 2. Fyi we are Mexican

Would have been great if you actually showed the rice measuring, rinsing and water fill lines on the pot. Also, didn't see any of the menu functions, so not real informative. :(

It would have been nice for a first time buyer to see how rice cooker measuring cups actually work to avoid overfilling and destroying the machine.
@@CrookedNose2131I wanted to know how much uncooked it takes and my current rice cooker has marks on the bowl to measure the water to. So a bit more info wouldn’t have taken much to film but would have been helpful as it’s not a cheap model
