Oh yeah I really nerd out on Static-X. LoL Wisconsin Death Trip & Machine are all in C, Shadow Zone is mostly C with a few in Drop A#. Then Start A War, Cannibal, Cult Of Static & Pighammer are all in Drop A#. I'm not sure about the tuning of the Project Regeneration albums.

As for the guitars that were used: Wisconsin Death Trip: Primarily a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop w/ Grover tuners & Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge along with overdubs from a tobacco burst Gibson Explorer and his 1982 Gibson Flying V. Machine - Start A War: Gibson Explorer Gothic. Cannibal & Cult Of Static: ESP Viper Baritone. Pighammer: Dean ML Modifier.

That probably comes from the fact that there is likely two or three layered guitars doing it on the album version. I'll have to try that myself and see how it sounds.
