I would go as far as saying it's a Poorman's Eventide. I bought mine for $149 15 years ago brand new, and my only criticism is I didn't buy 2. *It's also a bit extreme for some needs as well where you need a delay, a modulation or a reverb, but you don't need 20 parameters to adjust.* For this reason, I bought 2 Virtualizer Pros, and they have moderate parameter controls, and are ideal for using on a guitar amp's effects loop or when you don't want to spend an hour programming a reverb or modulation for some vocals or an acoustic guitar. I greatly see the Rev2496 as a piece of studio gear to put on your mixing board's loop, mastering through your board or pursuing a commercial quality recording. *With all that said, PC's and even Android tablets provide so much now that a $100 tablet can genuinely replace the powerhouse rack units still on the market today.* Even 20 years ago I talked to a lot of other musicians online that constantly used the phrase, "just mouse it" meaning add your effects with your DAW after the fact.

I used to show my brother the 'My Way' instrumental back in the Comcast On-Demand days. It was a demonstration in really tight song-writing. Listening to the instrumental, your mind fills in the gap of Fred's melody while allowing you to hear the INCREDIBLY produced foundation. Buried underneath, you can hear Wes' intricate delay-heavy riffs playing something you clearly couldn't hear beforehand - it's so good. You can even hear really cool things that John and Sam are doing while never ever letting up on that groove. We used to make up new melodies and harmonies on top, imagining what it would sound like if Scott Weiland or Layne Staley were the vocalists.

Love Fred Durst or hate him, he was the reason the talents of Wes, Sam, John, and Lethal were combined to make Limp Bizkit what it is, people shit on Durst too much without realizing that without him, the band wouldn't have been what it was.

7 years, it has been for this video and it is brilliant to see people still finding it, and giving into it, and feeling it. And I am so glad that we guys, all of us are still here. I mean I know the world has taken to shit from music to everything else. But in the middle of it all, there's this. Obscure and hidden, avoidable to those willing to find. Thank you Nick for bringing all of us together. I am having such a "my fucking people" moment right now. Love every single one of y'all.
