The pacific northwest is a mountain biker's playground. Northwestmax is out here, shuttling, riding, ripping, building, networking, and laughing. check out how much rad we are having!
butcher fest part 2
The testing of the Santa Cruz Butcher continues. In part 1, the bike handled the flow line- slalom style jumps really well. Here I take it to Hood River, Oregon- home of the locally infamous FMX jumps on the Chorus trail in Post Canyon. In the snow. Big ole props to Frosty for helping me film. We shot this whole segment on our iPhone4's. We were freezing our asses off. Obviously, the Butcher is up to the task. This bike is loving jumps and fast dh-y stuff. Next up: Black Rock Freeride area...

butcher fest part1

Self filmed and edited, by Max in the pacific northwest bike park of Duthie HIll. Zeb, owner of big tree bikes, built a sick slalom-ish sort of jump line that is super hard to kill on a suspension bike. -but the Santa cruz butcher loves it. My santa cruz butcher is an amazing bike. Let me show you how the butcher can indeed role through rhythm lines with ease, and jump its own weight in shred. ...
THANKs yall, SC fit just right for me, this is an xl, and im jumping the crap outta it.
thanks yall!!! im pretty sure its a tioga spyder dj saddle, iphone did work, but im hyped to get on my contours just for stability. i used imovie for these two edits, but it wont work with pov cameras so i have ot go and get half ass pro... I trust the butcher to not break. its pretty light too.... for me.
awesome brutha good work.. I need to see a video of the butcher riding like my Sx trail I want to sell for for an easier pedaling rig.
vaya mierda de vídeo, desenfocado !!!
hang on! what saddle is that??
wow! you dont appear to be slipping at all, those maxxis wheels are just sticking like glue. what size do you ride? btw AMAZING video!! you guys did a fantastic job. those little iphones are amazing, eh??? what did you use to edit this?
heya - do you find that santa cruz runs a teeny bit small? im obsessed w the butcher but i found a steal of a deal in a size too large. i tend to walk the line btwn med and large in mens, and am usually a large in women's.
Wow buddy you got some skills shooting this from the iphone!!! Mad props
solid riding mate!
Thanks for posting. I am thinking very seriously about buying a Butcher and this video helps. I also want to thank you for posting such good music, many bike videos play junk for the background music. Just my opinion.
Awesome video, man! Love the editing and not to mention your sexy ride (the truck is sweet too). I wish I lived a little further north (in S OR) so I could get to those trails more.
Very nice. I need to get that stoke back in a big way.
