Naaaah it's still be fun. If you really wanna invest in this by playing the game it's never too late. But for the competitive side maybe you really have to wait for some unit to either rerun or when they show us a newer unit. Gacha games always constantly updates so there's never a "too late" for it, just gotta grind and kinda wait for the unit that you want. Also if you just wanna focus the story then it's even better since you don't have to think much about your units.

Also I can vouch that HI3rd story is amazing I even teared up for some chapters :')

I was just wondering, if it would be overwhelming with all the content after so many years and at the same time maybe not worth it, because new players don‘t experience it in „real time“, the main story ended (if I understood it correctly) and they would have missed a lot of events and temporary stuff, I guess. But since I enjoy lore very much and I am happy with a few good characters that I like story- and designwise, I might give it a go. I don‘t need meta or to collect everything and everyone.

@@J.Jolteon Yes and no for overwhelming content but at the end it depends on the person itself. I for myself am not overwhelmed since I got hooked after chapter 6-7 and I only cared for the competitive and the event after I finished the whole chapters at that time.
