Finishing up my Crick Happy Hunter build as a Smit Hunter with an anchor handling vessel aft. Still some detailing and touch up to do. Electronics: Turnigy helli motors 500kv Cheap Hobbyking car ESC's for drive motors Tor15's for driving the anchor winch and the rear tow. CTI PS4a for light controller. Sanwa SD-10GS radio mixed throttle for one stick motor control.

Do you drive it in the winter ? And if so, how do you keep the carbs from icing up ?
This is not used in winter any more. And there is plenty of heat under the hood without any cold air intake.

why is the rev limiter so god damn low ? youre not even using your whole power curve.
I don't have a rev limiter. Stopping at 7k. cause it hadn't been benched yet.

@@FLSharkdiver I was running one 4S battery for each motor. Carbon reinforeced and 2x 3674 so rely heavy. This was stock with one motor. Buy the one with two motors stock and fine tune that one

Thanks mate! It is used a modified E distributor. no electronics.
HOLY SHIT THAT SOUNDS GOOD!!! we had one just like it. it was even blue, although a bit darker then yours. we used to just drive the shit out of that car! if the engine was running. we were either at wide open throttle, or on the brakes. nothing in between. ours didn't sound near as good as this one tho

You can get aftermarked but this is from volvo penta, I believe from aq171
Ok, does the engine have a balance shaft?

This engine was in a rally car before, and then it had rpm cut at 8600 :p

What pistons are you using in this setup? I have been thinking about doing an n/z 230 build for a while. Do you have any further plans with the car? 16v conversion, efi, that kind of thing?

Vet du omtrent hvor mye det kostet å trimme motoren (svinghjul, topp, ventiler, kam, forgasser, eksos, grenrør...)?
Turbocharging would have gotten you probably twice the power for less money. But that wouldn't be all that fun or unique, now. There are a shitload of turbo volvos but projects like this are what really are interesting.

@fjelling Ware did you get your exhaust and manifold at? I live the way it sounds.
The exhust is just a kit from JT-superflow with a tuned 4-2-1 manifold and the rims is called revolution.
