How do you get through firewall
There are usually other wires running through the firewall that you can sneak these wires with.
How much load can we get up top?
The rack is super heavy duty. What were you looking to put up there? We haven't officially weight tested it but we recommend sticking with the manufacturers gross vehicle weight rating. Customers have built decking, roof storage, solar panels..etc. on it.

are the holes inside the fan threaded into something solid? Just wondering because I don't have access to the holes from inside the van as it's already covered up. Can I just screw in from the outside and be good?
Yes they are factory inserts into sheet metal that has structural support. They are designed for roof racks. You can't access them from the inside, even on an empty van. You can only access from the outside. Let us know if that helps!

Do these fit on all vehicles. I made the mistake of adding it but I caught the mistake before I started or turned key. Too much on my mind I'm guessing... 19 F250 6.7 is my rig
This is for the Sprinter. Check with Fuel Angel if they make one for your vehicle.

How did you do the ceiling?
The ceiling is distressed cedar! We painted the boards then sanded them lightly to give the distressed look :)

They are the Renogy 200W panels

Hi Carmen, unfortunately we had to put this project on the back-burner temporarily - as we lost access to the CNC machine we were using. We do have a new CNC machine on the way! So hopefully we can re-release these again in the coming months :) Appreciate your enthusiasm!

When you were editing the video and saw yourself spraying the "outdoor shower" in the back dressed with boots, a puffy jacket and a tuque, did the thought popped in your mind that is was silly to call that hose with a fancy faucet an "outdoor shower"? I had a good laugh. Thank You. Canada is cooold!
Haha ya a bit chilly to use during the winter months! handy for a few months of the year thou - which is mainly when the owners of this van are using it :)
I’m curious why you don’t use a foot water pump for your kitchen, because it would use less water?
Hey Ben! Our customers preferred a normal tap they can easily turn on/off - since we had the electrical system set up anyways :) It's a very efficient system.

Great build, but the Webasto cooker isn't induction. Induction is electric and magnetic.
Good point to note! For some reason Webasto calls it an "Induction" cooktop even though its not a true induction - you can use any pot/pan on it

Thx for sharing! I'm considering something like this for my Transit Extended. What size bed is that? How deep is the bike storage and how does it stay put? I'm looking for a solution for an ebike without having a high bed. Considering the Rad Mini Folding or Rover (if I can find a way).
Hi Cori, this van has a double bed (54" wide). You need to make the storage area as wide (or wider) than the width of your handlebars if you want to store the bike sideways. One complication with storing e-bikes is that they are quite heavy. You may have trouble lifting the bike up into a raised storage area like the one in this van.

Lovely! What do you suggest for a family of four, five?
Buying a "crew" van instead of a cargo is a good start - these vans come with an extra bench seat already installed, as well as back windows, ac/heat throughout the whole vehicle (for when you're driving), and they are safety tested for passengers in the back as well. We've seen some cool "bunk" builds out there with extra beds for the kiddos either above the main bed, or along one of the walls. We haven't converted any family vans ourselves yet, but there are plenty of great ideas out there!
