It looks like The Suicide Squad and Guardians 3 for the most part to me! And both of those look great! Also there's a lot of practical locations and sets. Also, it's a teaser trailer and comes out in July, there's plenty that still needs cleaning up. I'm excited about it because it looks like Superman trying to do too many things at once and being being pulled in every direction and trying to be there. I'm excited!

@@kellyaustin7487 Though that is true, it is a VERY different role for Demi Moore, and also a very lackluster/slow year for movies. I think it could happen!

The show is about hard to quantify emotional pain. Longing for meaning. And fighting for a sense of self. I do not think it needs to be about people making logical human decisions because humans do not always make logical decisions, and the show is more directly an exploration of that.

What I am saying is I don’t believe any of the characters to be true or human. They are so devoid of what any human will do and have such constant leaps of logic and disconnected emotional responses that I don’t believe any of the show. I love dystopian stuff, been reading and watching that stuff since I was a kid. The Leftovers is just absolutely horrid writing.

My outright fave unironically is School of Rock, especially with how it's aged. If you want my artsier answer (as in what I think his best films are on paper and technically) I might say between Boyhood, Waking Life, and Before Midnight. Before Sunset gives me the lovey doveys, but Before Midnight completes that image for me, so it's hard to pick a fave between those, but the harder task of them I think is Midnight so I give it that edge.

I dont totally agree, but I see your point. I do think it's slightly more interesting to me than Wolf of Wallstreet because there are more perspectives from women and people of color, and deals more with fame than wealth. (Wolf of Wallstreet is more fun to watch tho, I will say) I get the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood comparison a smidge, but Once Upon is more nostalgic, Babylon glamorizes and takes down as it goes. Babylon looks forward, whereas Once Upon looks back. I think that's ultimately what Manny comes to realize at the end to an extent. Using the past to inform the future and mix and meld, and evolve into something new

I'm referencing an interview he had after Babylon about how he was concerned he might have a hard time getting his next feature made due to the poor box office performance of First Man and Babylon. I say pretty early that I think he obvs will get another chance to make another one, and at the end I reinforce that statement! All love tho! Thanks for the engagement!
