why did you need to have the level so different in the comparison? was it just the knob that was placed wrong or was it something wrong with the circuit?

Awesome video and sounds good but just out of curiosity why do they sound so different when the knobs are at the same positions? Is something on the schematic used for the build incorrect?

I'd recommend building a Marshall Supa Fuzz instead (or afterwards). Basically adds a transistor stage to the fuzz face type circuits. Much more forgiving of transistor specs. Fuzz faces can vary quite a bit depending on the transistors used.

One question, i finished connecting everything to a veroboard, i mean all the componets, but i don't know how to connect it to the foot switch, jacks, dc etc. Is there a schematic for that too?

I really like that your schematic is more like a build guide / component layout. This actually makes it possible for me to build this (: >> 'Real' (lines + symbols) schematics don't help me at all - can't read em ;), and I have no idea how to lay everything out efficiently

Hey great video. I've built my pcb for the circuit tested it and it's not working. I'm not sure if I'm wiring it up incorrectly. Or if I've got the wrong IC chip. At the moment ik using a TC 1044S but in the diagram it says that the chip to use is a max 1044 csa. Any chance someone could give me some guidance this my DIY build.

Making a Klon, I mistakenly cut the vero wrong several times and then when I finally got the right one sized, I put the cuts in the wrong place. 4 boards wasted in total but I was able to use the unwasted space for smaller builds and daisy chain spots for power in a pedal. Not everything went to waste, just my time 🤦🏻‍♂️

I think the circut is a bit too cramped since you normally dont bend components to fit something. Also use a PUK saw to cut the stripboard and file down the edges, gives a much cleaner result. But other then that a really nice project.

so it dosent matter what germanium transistors you buy..just buy what ever and find a couple that sound good from the batch? if that's the case that is good..Because I bought a pcb and small bear stays sold out of what is recommended on the parts list.So it's like i have this pre made of the dallas and all the parts but the fuzz face transistors..Uggh
