This whole cutscene I was like: "Didn't we just wound the witness solo, then proceeded to face him in his spire, Shatter his hold on the traveller, prevent the final shape and make him retreat, before chasing him down and finally burning him down with the light in excision?". In conclusion, since Maya ain't a powerful as the witness why was this even a fight?

Destiny is dead. I can't find any reason to play anymore. Anything that's fun gets nerfed. Anything thats good gets removed. Playerbase complains and Bungie does nothing while claiming it takes too long to implement changes like seasons into their worst version of episodes.

I didn't play most of this episode but what power does Maya even have to let her control three of the most powerful Guardians to ever live like that? I understand Saint since he's an Exo which were made with radiolaria but what about the Guardian and Ikora?

Somehow… Saint shook off her control. Something that we, the admittedly most powerful lightbearers, couldn’t do. I thought Maya/Lakshmi was an AWESOME villain, but everything to do with Saint “discovering himself” was so freaking lame.

The whole love story thing felt forced, like I was watching a soap opera. But I just don't understand how I, as the Guardian, who has slain gods, can't take on someone who seems to have no other powers other than making you freeze in place?

To be honest, I’m done. I’ve been done. Destiny is burnt toast. Writing has been terrible 75% of the time, our guardian has never actually done anything in cutscenes even though we’re the ones killing all these bad guys. We’re just in the background. 10 years of that same model. Just get out while you can guys, it’s okay. You can leave now.

this shit looks so ass - Acts are just a new coat of paint over the same damn seasonal model which apparently 10 people in the community like. For destiny’s big final moment they should have scrapped seasons/acts and just put All of their effort in Final shape instead of trying stretch the shit out it. it’s like finally eating a decent meal after many terrible dishes, only to go back to terrible. Thats going from Final Shape to Echos. And Why the hell is the guardian still a f’ing bystander/side character story, in the actual side characters narrative, its what I hated most about final shape, bungie have had 10 years to make the side characters more compelling and complex with deep backstories, showing their fears and traumas, whilst facing their struggles, as the player YOUR character has done the f’ing work and canonically a god slaying badass, only to be reduced to this in the story and its underwhelming as hell. I deleted destiny a while ago, yet still stay caught up with the story through videos and such. This was the end of the season? Literally nothing? This looks like a cutscene that would’ve played halfway through the season, as our guardian prepares for a siege on the vex. THAT was it? God am I sad with how this game has turned out

Our guardian went 1v1 with the witness in the final shape and still got vader choked by an exo with a big necklace. 😂🤡

Unfortunately for the Destiny story branch I believe that they wouldn't have this perspective without Clovis and the villain in this story perspective of Destiny 2 Lakshmi-2 body. Most stories in other games go off of the evolution of how humans survived with technological advances. In Destiny though regardless of technology advances the guardian is given an exponential power boost regardless. For exos I mentioned that it's a conflict because ghosts revive you in your current state of being. Exos were made and data archived through Clovis tech. Even if they blame him for everything he keeps a major data bank to backup Exos normally. So Cayde and others are technically always in the data bank per revival. I thought it was obvious when Clovis had the wizard of Oz giant head speaking to us. As he can connect very easily to databases we sync him to. Rasputin basically sacrificed himself when disconnected and they kept blaming Clovis for advancements. Even when their ghosts didn't revive them in their organic bodies, but their cybernetic ones. I think Bungie dropped the ball on factions when they chose 1 side and blew up the planet the Exos research factory were on. This part of the story kinda leads more into the Curse of Osiris story and also the prison of elders. I wouldn't be surprised if the VEX are just the remains of the future constantly fixing the last in simulations Osiris was trying to expunge. So remember when Lakshmi was over run with the Vex in a prior season... Also remember that Clovis has invited us to join his personal guard. Meaning he was never really there, but elsewhere... As it would explain why Lakshmi regardless of body and circumstance can control the guardians movement in the cutscene. Also during Atheon they digitized or got rid of guardians separated from the traveler. Also during the Curse of Osiris trailer they updated and started moving even when frozen in a specific scenario... So it is inevitable that Vex can override the travelers control given to guardians.

I forgot this act even had a story. Did the exotic mission when it dropped and I kinda just quit the game 😅
