Eve of Destruction 2024
This song was composed by P.F. Sloan in 1965. Here some of the lyrics have been updated by Chuck Roberson and Dana Bourassa to reflect what's happening in 2024. The song is performed by Dana Bourassa.
The Middle East, it is explodin'
Violence flarin’, bombs explodin’’
The Gaza strip is a burnin,Netanyahu, he's still turning
Corrupt court is on the take, Roe v, Wade, decision gives me headaches
But you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
How you don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction
Don't you understand what I'm trying to say
Is it so hard to see why I'm feeling this way?
When democracies gone, there's no hope for today
With despots in charge, they’ll lock opponents away
Take a look...

While the main part of this movie is about Botswana, I am updating it to show 2 major reasons for the famine in Sudan. Climate change has turned rains that used to irrigate farmlands into downpours that cause destructive flooding. Many people have left, but those who stayed are on islands with no useable land and they are attempting to live on whatever they can find, including the bulbs of wate...
Bosnian Poem

Dzenana Idrizović and her family left Bosnia when war broke out in the early ’90’s and they came to Milford, NH. She created this in my High School Presentations Class. The poem was written and performed by Enes Kišević. With the war in Ukraine raging I decided that it would be a good time to show it. Sadly, wars never end.

Rock song about the issues we face in the U.S. today. Vocal: Marge Roberson Guitar: Dana Bourassa Piano: Craig Jackson Composer: Chuck Roberson Lyrics: It just seems to get worse lately Everyday it gets harder Living under this curse daily I can't go any farther All I see are people hating Those who aren’t the same In spite of how long we’ve been waiting It seems they’ll never change It just se...
That's The Way Love Is

I wrote this song when I was teaching at Mt. Markham in central New York. A band made up of students are performing here and they sang it wherever they played. I cannot remember the name of the group or the members, but I wish I could. This is an excellent performance and I'd like to thank them. I rewrote the song when I was teaching in western Connecticut and renamed it "Just A Game". Both ver...

Describes the ravages of Global Warming. The song and video was created by Chuck Roberson. He and his sister perform the song. We Reap What Our Fathers’ Sow Lake Mead is disappearing behind the Hoover Dam. The land that needs that water is turning into sand. Climate change isn’t coming, it’s already here. We may find there’s nothing left of all that we hold dear. No matter who was teaching us, ...
For Bobby

Lyrics by Chuck Roberson. Music and performance byDana Bourassa. Thoughts on Bobby Kennedy He was a young-thinking man Who knew what was in his mind He was a young-speaking man And he knew that it was finally time For a major change in plan. He would take the wounded ship And guide it from its rocky course. Out to the large and open sea Where all men could enjoy their rights Where are all men c...

Music and performance by Dana Bourassa. Lyrics by Chuck Roberson Old Dodge City of Western lore said no guns allowed in town. Arizona towns today? Bring your guns, go get more. We love having guns around. A mass shooting once a week so we send out hopes and prayers Will we find a better way? Fewer guns? Mental health? They don’t really care. Parkland, Atlanta and Boulder Colorado. I could name ...

Maybe We Should Have Had Rain by the Hello People
Лучше Линды , эту песню никто не спел.
When I was 22, I was suffering and depressed over a girl who looked like Amy Adams. (This was before Amy Adams was even born, of course, but that's what she looked like.) I was dysfunctional for over a year ..... Then out of the blue, I met a girl who looked like Linda Ronstadt. We married a year later. It was funny, when my older sister first met her, the first thing she said was, "She looks like that girl on that poster you used to have in your room!" Which of course was Linda Ronstadt. It was the ONLY poster I ever had on my wall.
What a beautiful song and arrangement sung by one of the greatest divas of all time ❤❤!
Gorgeous, touching, musically interesting song. Exactly the song for the incredible linda.
Could listen to this for a long, long time
I'm the only one here because of "the last of us"? Beautiful song
"Long Long Time" Love will abide Take things in stride Sounds like good advice But there's no one at my side And time washes clean Love's wounds unseen That's what someone told me But I don't know what it means 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and make you mine And I think I'm gonna love you For a long, long time Caught in my fears Blinking back the tears I can't say you hurt me When you never let me near And I never drew One response from you All the while you fell All over girls you never knew 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and make you mine And I think it's going to hurt me For a long, long time Wait for the day You'll go away Knowing that you warned me Of the price I'd have to pay And life's full of flaws Who knows the cause? Living in the memory Of a love that never was 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and change your mind And I think I'm going to miss you For a long, long time 'Cause I've done everything I know To try and make you mine And I think I'm gonna love you For a long, long time
Thank You❣️🙏✨️
Isn’t that Bobby Darin on guitar? Very beautiful.
Yes
It’s his summer show. Note that at some point his stool is empty. He was so impressed with her, he didn’t want distract from her.
Bobby Darin died of a heart attack. He had a bad heart and had a dental procedure but didn’t take antibiotics as he should have.
What happened to bobby darin? He was there and then he wasnt.
Linda had one of the best voices Ive ever heard in my entire lifetime of 67 years. She was extremely gifted.
This performance, with minimal orchestration, highlights her marvelous interpretation of the melody, and those devastating lyrics. Perfect marriage of singer and song. Thank you, Linda
No revealing clothes. Just pure voice.
beautiful big voice what can I say. Thank you Linda.
There is one woman in the audience who has no idea that she is hearing the best mezzo-soprano ever to lend her voice to popular music.
Darin and Ronstadt. What a beautiful duo.
I love her and always will🐈 🐈🎆
The cat is too close to the explosion of prettiness! 💟
What a beautiful, beautiful voice. 😊
Thanks for the review, definitely a nice real! And prices are going up all over I fear!
Stunning
A true treasure. As a boy of the 70's she was a queen.
The simple purity of the flute in this live performance surpasses the orchestra’s strings on her record. This is my all time favorite 😂
The biggest lie of all, Love’s wounds unseen, We can “see” them in someone’s eyes as they are, the windows to our souls … 🥹

Very smooth, imagine being such a talent in your own time being able to witness how many people you have touched with your talent.
Had such a big crush on a girl when I was in college. This song used to tear me up. Memories from 1978...
You feel her pain. You feel her emptiness and you feel the vastness of that pain. How does a person make you feel empty and full at the same time? Her gifts are many. She doesn't just sing the lyrics she lives them. She doesn't just interpret the feeling of the song, she amasses them and they flow out of her pores. This song is so sad. The loss so painful. Beautifully written; beautiful arrangement; masterful musicians; and magnificent Linda. How we suffer with her now that she can physically no longer perform. It is a blessing we have her records. Imagine if she lived at a time where there was no technology.
I wish there's a low-key version of this. One you can listen to before bed...
I've listened to so many versions of this song, some very, very good, but I always come back to Linda. The Queen RNR
Wow one of so many great songs what a perfect tone
Pure Talent
God,I love her.She has made life worthwhile to just hear her voice.
Have always loved this one by Linda. Brings back memories.
God bless you, Linda
❤
❤❤❤❤ SHE and Karen Carpenter!!😢 Wow what a duet they would have been❤
She's soooooo amazing ⚘
BILL AND FRANK
In greatness there is always simplicity. And truth. No frills. No posing. Just great singing of a great song.
No john galler not at all my husband is in love with her too!
There is an older man over Linda’s right shoulder at about 4:30 in a turquoise shirt head bowed wiping the tears from his eyes. The emotion of the moment Linda’s singing definitely got to him like Linda’s singing effects all of us!!! Many times the third verse is cut out of the song thankfully not this time. !! Long Long Time is heartbreakingly beautiful and sad at the same time.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the hearts Doris!!!
Wow!! That was REALLY nice
Love how Bobby Darrin put the spotlight on Linda. Such a beautiful song.
No auto tune. No remixing. Nothing. She was unquestionably the best vocal talent of her generation and arguably any generation therafter.
She was fantastic but unfortunately for her that title went to Karen Carpenter
@@danvillejim8384 I love Karen, but i beg to differ, no one is as good as Linda was. Dolly Parton even said she was the best singer she ever heard or sang with
I agree ❤
Amen to that
Karen Carpenter lacked the range that Linda had. Karen leaned on lower keys . Linda could melt any man's heart. Simply Beautiful.
Love you Linda!
Sheeee-it I can sing better then her.
4:20 bro was feeling it at the bottom left
She was beautiful to me.
Is that Bobby Darin playing guitar in the intro?!
