Most of the process is online but you need to go in for biometrics where you have to fill in a form to confirm some things you put in your application. E.g your date of birth and family details etc

Hello Elshaddai, lovely to meet you here. I know the health care end is a lot more active but I unfortunately do not have a lot of experience with it at my end. What I do know is your 8 year old should be eligible for the free primary school/ high school scheme, this might also be dependent on if your work visa is a CSEP and allows you fly down with your little one immediately. Also another factor might be what the work hours would be like, as the primary schools usually close at 2 ish and you might have to pay a small token to have your child in a great after school program from 2-6 ish

First you get a job offer. Then you apply through DETE. You can Google and ready through DETE website for more detailed information.

If you are the main applicant then you might have to create a separate ‘join family appointment’ for your kids, as yours would be ‘employment. But if you are also dependent on a spouse then both you and your kids would get a ‘join family’ appointment together from TLS.

This would depend on the type of work visa. The General permit visa only allows your family join you after a year. The CSEP on the other hand would allow your family join you immediately. You can check DETEs page for which would apply to you and discuss with your employer.

It really depends on a lot of factors and your preference . If you are coming with younger kids not up to school age, then you have to pay for crèche. Older kids might get free school but do you have a preference for private schools?. As much as I would love to encourage you, I would say do more research especially on the cost of living versus your possible household earnings and factors like that. That should help in your decision.

No it is not, it is subsidised. They have programs called the NCS and ECCE that help subsidise it. Standard crèche fees can range from 600 to 1500 depending on the hours and location.

@@dinmavlogs ok ma. My husband is the main applicant he is coming through critical skill work visa. While filling our forms on vsf portal we saw a fee of 104k so we are confused if dependant need to pay too.

@@patienceudor4922 yes you pay for the VFS appointment online and then pay for the visa fee and the delivery fee when you get to VFS. I know I have gotten feedback from people saying the fees are way higher now.

Please do kids pay for vfs appointments too

Hello Evelyn, I definitely understand your perspective and I have another video highlighting some realities and I plan to do more. Truth is no matter where you are there would be challenges, sometimes they don’t wear the same face but they are still challenges.
