Getting water behind you quickly
Просмотров 67Месяц назад
This quick demonstration is a method to pull the nozzle to your face and have the water strike the celling surface and travel behind the firefighters head. This can allow for cooling of materials in the space behind the operators and extinguish possible fire that travels behind the crews.

Hose bundle deployment burning 50 ft
Просмотров 2543 месяца назад
This deployment method is based off of a short set back or a fenced in front yard. We use the mid marks (green tape) to move our hose and we can keep count of how much we have left in the bundle. This scenario we are burning hose down the side walk to get it out of the way and move through the gate. Our hose load has multiple deployment methods. It takes practice and understanding what you are ...

Might be a smooth bore being pumped at 75 psi since it’s a training fire
I’ve learned always make sure your nozzle comes out the top of the load and not the bottom.
He’s searching for victims. Always check behind the door
Respect !
Bro went for a swim
Why not a Slammigan😅
What's he doing after he gets into the other room?
Heat and smoke rises. When you enter a potentially burning area the lower you are to the ground the safer you will be. I can't speak on him sweeping the area in front of him. Maybe it has to do with limited visibility in a fire?
Keeping head at floor level under the smoke where the air would be breathable?
Strong work
Probably good for fire but not police, by the time the police got it open there might be a armed person waiting, or everyone is gone.
That’s why firemen are doing it and not cops.
What size dowel rod?
Consider a fine detail change, life, layout, fire. Why? While it seems a small deal, consider the tool we should be using here, a TIC. As soon as you pop that door, scan. Scan low. The low scan will utilize the maximum amount of your pixels on the TIC. The victims are not often clearly seen on the tic. Due to head differences and shielding of victims they often are on grey scale not much different to furniture. This low scan will also be using the angle of view of the camera to show you furnishings, walls, hallways and doors, with often the lower portion of windows. Moving the camera to do a mid level scan then provides good contrast between the windows and doors and whatever elevated temps are at ceiling height. The elevated temps however can move you camera to low sensitivity mode where we will loose as much as 50 percent or more of our pixels. This makes for a poorer view to determine what we are seeing. While the scans only take a few seconds, choosing the right order to maximize precious pixels and solid shape recognition could make all the difference.
I find it amazing the amount of time people spend on this drill. This incident was a once in a lifetime occurrence. The issues that lead up too a burned out untenable floor below a crew who became separated and the result being trapped in a narrow confines with a small window. Far more valuable would be spending the time on first identifying tactics that will keep our people out of these situations and second, practice drills that happen over and over until they are perfect before practicing a drill that has never happened before or after in fire service history. Project mayday and NIOSH reports all demonstrate that the majority of maydays are accomplished by crews in the immediate area of the victims own crews. Spend our time ensuring that all interior crews are 3 people so two can help rescue the one. Practicing single person tactics normalizes the interior attack with in adequate personnel. Train the way we work. And normalize practices based in reality.
By far not the easiest way of doing that. Will work if downed firefighter is a manageable weight for the rescue firefighter. That rarely is the case.

Just use the adz end. Why go through all that redundant nonsense
Did he do anything wrong?
The Cleveland load need to be having the nozzle come from the top of the coils and it needs to be charged before moving forward with the nozzle otherwise you'll have lots of twists in the line
What hose straps do you use?
Fire By Trade straps
You destroy the door, how stupid is that
Is there a way to get the power points?
pr໐๓໐Ş๓ 😬
How did you bend the nail?
I used a vise on a work bench to bend it.
where do you get those stickers made up? i really like the idea of making those for guys! great video
I am not sure where he gets his decals made up at. I have used FAST signs which is a chain company with stores all over.
So smooth quick and energy efficient 👍
Way to much time wasted... Just use a pump 12 guage shotgun for faster results.... OR your wife's head if she's already died from smoke inhalation.
Зачем ломать? не проще выкрутить самарезы! Смисел видео не вижу
Great job and great pack!
Wat
Looks like you’ve got some wasted movements in that deployment, why not just flip forward your nozzle and married couplings, and as you stretch back your “loops” maybe take the female coupling with you? Over all looks like a nice quick bundle to deploy
My landlord isn't pleased with the results
In what situation would this be helpful??? Not being a smart butt but seriously curious because it's main use is to open the door for you to get into a room but if the door has to be open to use it then it's kind of self defeating isn't it ???
Why u cant just use a screwdriver?
Wow!!!!!
Что они велосипед изобретают!? Это делается с помощью обычного молотка или пожарного топорика...
Ты ничего не понимаешь ))))) Я тоже Нах пожарник снимает с петель уже открытую дверь Ещё и так долго )))))))
That is just the slowest. Should take about 2 seconds with a Hooligan.
I get the job but why do they always have to destroy shit.. it would have been just as fast to carefully remove the the center shaft from each hinge
I tried to ge hinges off that had about 80 years of paint on them, was not fun
The owner is gonna be pissed when they get home to find out that a fireman broke into their house and took one of their doors off the hinges for a RUclips video.
И нахуй ломать открытую дверь?
Thanks Matt Lucas

Wreck Stuff!! Murika!
It’s a firefighting technique to get a large rectangle of wood that can be used to cut oxygen off. They aren’t just wrecking stuff, they’re in theory supposed to use this to choke a fire
Lul try that with a german door. Good luck
Sounds like ww2 "our German science cannot be bested!"
@@skepticpuma3222 I have a German door, I'd use it rather than a tank to protect myself from a bullet
Would have been faster to pull the pins lol
Frrl, right nail set/tool and one good wack, it’s out
Houses in the US are just shit.Toys! In Germany you have no chances with your sweet fireman tool
That is the US, here in Europe you do that to a door, and you get the stuff broken. Here we make houses 😆
What?
@@karlplummer7350 that the houses and constructions in the US, are like toy houses..
@@karlplummer7350 that the houses and constructions in the US, are like toy houses..
Yes lol, out basic construction code for houses (wind and storms) is way harsher than what people in the USA call huricane proof code lol
Well we simply don’t need large stone houses and solid wood for anything but framework. American architecture is meant to be mass produced. Really it was Levittown New York that pioneered cheap housing, every home in that city was a manufactured home, and after that everyone copied the idea and now we have many trailer parks in America that will literally blow away due to a hurricane, but we also have housing for everyone and it’s all brand new
Hope you kept your receipt!
Cordless screwdriver
Just curious why you would need to remove a door when it is already opened? Aka not locked shut. Seriously I’m not fd idk 🤷♂️
To cover holes in a roof or something so more oxygen won’t get it to fuel the fire
@Pes fan bubuiala I don’t think you really understand THEY TAKE THE DOOR OFF TO BLOCK AIR FROM COMING IN FROM OTHER AREAS TO FUEL THE FIRE
@@leedog918 so they take the thing blocking air off to block air? Why be so rude about it?
It’s to block from a roof or other open part of the house. They obviously know wether or not to open a door
@Pes fan bubuiala ever put out a fire? No? Then shut the fuck up. They’ll take the doors from non burning areas and cordion off windows and holes in the roof that are giving burning rooms oxygen. It’s not that hard to simply just visualize, but I had it happen to my house a year back when it almost burned down.
in what situation would you need to do that
to cover spaces and holes he says
In some situations doors will burn through and that will give a little bit of extra protection until either you get water on the fire or get out of the area
I was upset when I realized I had forgotten to tune in and watch this webinar the day it was live. I'm glad I finally squeezed in the time to watch it. Great messages all around. Thank you WBT for all the training opportunities!
