I went gameplay all-in on Gamefound in late 2023, and I definitely don't regret it! So I've got the core, Ten Thousand Succulent Fears, Princess Slawia and Little Ser (add-on), and the extra dice pack (add-on) coming in wave one, then the Barony of Bountiful Harvest, Red Kingdom of Eshin, Ser Gallant, The Knight with No Name, and Ser Cockatrice all in wave two. Most looking forwards to Ser Cockatrice and the Red Kingdom!

@@Mconize nice! I still hesitating because its a lot of money, did you like it more than ATO? Do you think playing solo is doable?

@@stefervadur I have thus far only played part of Cycle I of ATO (just got my copy in the last two weeks now). The gear/keywords is definitely more complex than what I've played of Cycle I ATO, and the fights that I've done in this newest demo seem to be very different than the Hekaton throwing people around, the Labyrinthauros charging back and forth, or the Pursuer relentlessly eating all of your gear. I can't say really which one I'll like more in the end, but I suspect it'll be Kingdoms Forlorn. Most of that is because I really enjoy the medieval theme, but also because it seems like they've iterated on their design some now, and I look forward to what that turns into with the huge variety of bosses and mobs that are coming to us. As for solo? I've had problems in playing ATO solo where I find it a lot to remember for which Argonaut has what gear and which Mnemos ability and which Fated Mnemos penalty. Thus far in the KF demo, I feel I've been able to handle multiple knights pretty well-- the biggest thing is getting to know the technique cards, and most of that is trying to remember what different options I've got available in aggregate during the Delve. In clashes, I haven't had any issues with remembering their cards. And this isn't even touching on the Squire system, which I have yet to fully investigate, but which supposedly offers quicker/simpler gameplay while maintaining depth. So...I'm thinking solo will definitely be doable one way or another.

I m two hours in the video, and i disagree. Just feel he is learning live while a lot goes in front of his eyes. I find it hard for him to have a "huge" place in this video, while so much happens ! He Just feels reserved. :-)

@@draksider to much wierd comments, not focusing and selfishnes (for example to look for clues) Thats how i see it. I viewed some "learn by play" videos with other games and they were more enjoyable. I quit video on 2h 40m because of this guy so almost to the end but only to for guy who tries his best here to teach and view this big game.

I had the most fun with the White Ape Troll, which is seen in the second and third videos I uploaded. First Men Warriors takes second place and Winged Nightmare sits in third-- but I do think that Winged Nightmare could rise up the rankings a lot if I tried it on level 2 or above like I did with the First Men Warriors. Its mechanics seemed really interesting with how it wants to drag you into the chasm in the middle of the board, and allows you to climb up on the columns to try and hit it.

I haven't touched poor Ifan on my Nethack game since this video was put up...I should definitely go back to him sometime.

Yeah...been awhile since I lost such a promising run. It hurt. By my count, we're somewhere around 11 hours, so...lots of love given to Nommy. Alas.

I've heard that wands of undead turning can resurrect the dead, but I've never actually used one before-- perhaps because it's difficult to identify without a scroll (or, I suppose, a nearby corpse).
