I now know why , well about a whole lot of things I didn't know before. I have that flow jet carb that I will be ordering a rebuild kit for MYCARB ON MY (1991) 191702 8HP IS SAME EXCEPT the choke there is no thing to hook my cable to because it's a choke-A matic and I know nothing about that.
Autopedia doesn't work all you get is logos and a list of cars with a menu on the left giving options like games, there's no diagnosis and the repair manuals is just a link to Autodata.
Well between your excellent presentation and my 25 years spent in auto electric I am now feeling like a child that is starting all over again. Let me try & explain. Like many of your followers I have a fair amount of mechanical/electrical experience developed over many years working in the automotive trade plus 20 years in the USN working Aviation Electrical so at 79 yo I usually am successful in troubleshooting and repairs of whatever it is I get myself involved in - till now.. This should be so simple I'm somewhat embarrassed to post it. I'm not talking about a complex circuit on a late model vehicle - I'm talking about a 2019 Cub Cadet zero turn mower with a Kohler 22hp 7000 series engine that cranks at proper rpm but won't light off. It has an MDI ignition system - about as simple a system as one can get. Even I know it takes air, fuel, and ignition for combustion. Think I can rule out air as I'm still breathing ok. Using a ignition spark plug tester I verified no spark. I removed ground leads from both coils - still no spark. I replaced coils - same result (no spark). Next I took new spark plug and grounded it to engine and discovered a "weak" spark. Due to smell of fuel (old) I replaced carburetor and gas - no joy. I shot starting fluid into throttle bore - no help. I'm still thinking that I'm just not getting a strong enough spark to light the fire. I've gone as far as removing the flywheel to inspect magnets for the stator and also measure stator resistance - all good. The only thing I'm unsure of is the external magnet on the fly wheel that triggers the coil - do they ever go bad? Thanks for whatever help you and/or others can render. Mike
good stuff

Ignore the comments on sheet metal gauge around 7:15. The fellow does not know that higher gauge means thinner metal.
"Promo SM"
Good job
Nice video, so easy to understand. Where did you find it? Was it a TV program?
I ripped it off a dvd from Tafe Qld

I think I have the same problem with my Kohler engine. I can’t get a spark.
Very underated channel
Basic things but alway great to review them. Thanks for sharing
Wow, 1st Like... that's a first. Appreciate the Kohler videos
How about advancing the main injection and deleting post injections Dose it improve performance and fuel efficiency on crd engines?
Anyone who works on engines should watch this.
Mann.."my disorderly damages to ma's car"?(a-van)

Awesome and underrated video. Please keep uploading 👍👍👍❤️
deserves more Thumbs Up 👍🏼
What about engine oil?
The oil is added into the fuel, and lubricates it and does not burn fully. this is why 2 strokes are smoky.
A 2 stroke diesel doesnt uses fuel oil mix, a 2 cycle diesel uses a lubricating system just like a 4 stroke does
very................................. intersting
Don't stop pls 👏 following from egypt 💜
