    {pls read everyone} hii a dev here, don't dare to use opera GX why- yes its a spyware but how? they offer free VPN and run cripts in the background which takes all your search history or whatever u do on Chinese servers to mainland china, this is why data is the most expensive thing in the world right now, Chinese , Indian, US, and russian data base - if you have it - u can get anything with ease ! also did you just said all browser collects data? any proof? nope answer is no! chrome and edge does and so does opera, brave does not just don't use there VPN,wallet,crypto and leo, u won;t even need to use all that so yeah very safe! firefox same thing but I recommend hardened firefox! arc requires an ACC which simply mean it is not secure enough like brave or firefox. conclusion - if you are a important person or do some imp task regarding yourself or your organization then stick to brave and firefox only and arc only for students also use a TEMP mail on it! DONE End of DAY BYEE

    Changing the DNS server does not increase speed. It is used to resolve hostnames to IP adresses and after that, is not used anymore. Data transfer is not done, and does not involve, DNS servers whatsoever. While the windows settings you disable are all good, they mainly focus on privacy and dont affect your bandwidth. Windows does not constantly send huge amounts of data around. It does from time to time and it should not, but the settings are not responsible for fixing any lag, nor increasing speed. The real issue i have with this video is your group policy settings. Windows does NOT limit the bandwidth to 80%. The setting is about QoS, which is "high priority packages". If there are no priority packages, 100% of the available bandwidth is shared between everything that wants access. If an application is using 5% of your bandwidth for high-priority tasks, Windows will make 95% of it available to other applications. Changing the setting won't really do anything---if you lower it to "0," all you're doing is ensuring that applications with high-priority traffic can't use this feature to get ahead of lower-priority applications. This could actually make the network applications that you care about less responsive. (For example Games)

    • @TechSplashYT
      @TechSplashYT 2 месяца назад

      In my personal experience, changing the DNS server can solve connectivity issues and speeds for loading onto certain apps and web pages. But you're right, it won't increase your download or upload speed. As for the Group Policy setting, I'll have to look into that more. Thank you for bringing that to my concern.

    • @TechSplashYT
      @TechSplashYT 2 месяца назад

      So theoretically, if I were to switch it from 0% to 100% it should yield better results according to your information? Because the QOS packets will not be limited.

    • @slluxxx
      @slluxxx 2 месяца назад

      @@TechSplashYT Not every packet is QOS/high priority. If you set it to 100% and you have a bunch of QOS packets, no normal packets would be processed. The percentage is the bandwidth you allow for QOS - if there are any - and the rest for normal packets. You should leave this setting at its default so normal traffic can pass through aswell as QOS if needed.

    • @TechSplashYT
      @TechSplashYT 2 месяца назад

      I did actually test the performance using 100% instead of 0%, and I believe you are right! It led to less packet loss (in games). So I assume the default setting might be best. I will edit the description. Thank you for the info! For as long as I remember I've always made that 0.

    • @slluxxx
      @slluxxx 2 месяца назад

      @@TechSplashYT You should also stop the missinformation about DNS settings. Everyone sees those youtube videos and makes their own using the same content without checking if its actually true. If you have slow internet, the thing that makes most sence is a traceroute. Then you can actually see the ping to each node (eg your pc to your router, your router to your ISP and your ISP to whatever service you want to check. Most of the time, its either because you have horrible wifi, your internet is plain bad or in some cases it can be your ISP introducing latency (which can all be checked and verified with a traceroute). Trust me, most of those tech tipps on youtube are hot garbage and don't fix anything. If you want to be different and actually help people, teach them how they can figure out what is wrong, not how they can fake-fix something and make it even worse.

  • @slluxxx

    Disabling Hiberboot does not increase performance. At most it gives you back a few GB of disk space on your harddrive after rebooting. "Disabling" network throttling can actually worsen your performance because incoming traffic is handled by your CPU. GameDVR is not disabled by those registry setting and still runs in the background. Why dont give people actual tips, like working with the NVidia control pannel and set everything to performance? Or Windows Battery settings set to performance. Intelligent Standby List Cleaner can help with low ram. WinMemoryCleaner can help too. CompactGUI uses windows 10/11 features to minimize game files by a huge amount (for example ARK from 169 GB to 91.2 GB). Regular people should NOT mess with the windows registry. Especially since you dont explain what these things do, nor do they actually help with performance.

    • @TechSplashYT
      @TechSplashYT 2 месяца назад

      Yeah I'll make videos on those things, but this video was specifically for the registry. Also disabling hiberboot can actually yield performance gains. With hiberboot on, the PC holds onto processes and services. Some of which may be messing with your games. I will make videos on other tips, but this one was for specifically the registry editor.

    • @TechSplashYT
      @TechSplashYT 2 месяца назад

      On most systems, these settings won't make any noticeable difference. However, on super low end systems, they may make a difference. It also depends on the specific specs of a PC. If a PC has a CPU bottleneck, these optimizations can help reduce the load on the processor. Especially on CPU heavy games. As for the game bar not being disabled, I don't know why that would be the case.

    • @TechSplashYT
      @TechSplashYT 2 месяца назад

      And I'm still new to making videos. Maybe in the future I'll add benchmarks. I based this guide on research instead of personal testing. But maybe I should. Then again, I'm not sure that these settings would make a huge difference on the avg PC.

      This is a common misconception. I'm not saying that they don't collect data of users, but all browsers do. It isn't any more spyware than Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. The only difference is that it was made in China.

      It’s quite ironic, the very comments y’all are making are here, on youtube, owned by the largest data and advertising company, whose sole real purpose is to profit off its users as much as possible by collecting data and catering to advertisers and selling it. What makes you think “chinese spyware” is worse? What is worse, a government from a country you probably don’t even live in perhaps getting a bit of usage data about you and the browser, or a giant monopolist-convict company seeking to profit off YOU in any way possible? Get your priorities right, not everything is about “us good, them bad”.
