I like my Toyota's, have had several cruiser's over the years, recently sold a 2019 VX 200 after 5 years. So not a Toyota hater, but if a hybrid mid size ute can do better than a 20yr old F250 for economy while towing then surely something is wrong.

I own a grey import Nissan Titan with the 5 liter cummin twin turbo diesel uses 15 liter per hundred out eastern Melbourne driving and 12 on the highway 18 to 20 towing around 2800kg boat which is considerably more aerodynamic that a caravan. So 22 per hundred out of the Tundra and 12.6 general driving is absolutely on par or better that the diesel. I've had the engines out of it on two occasions for fairly serious repairs and modifications to make it reliable all in 75,000kms. I've driven a tundra and thought how similar the torque and power delivery was to the Cummins I've order a Platinum Tundra and can't wait Best informative real world video I've seen Thanks for the effort

What did you think of the intrusive and loud central locking ?

For a tow vehicle the F150 still seems to be best at this stage but only just saying that the super duty ranger will run rings around the tundra and f150 etc if the quotes figures are correct.

God dam, y'all Aussies got that thing over there now? Dam Toyota garbage, over here it has 100,000 engine recalls on the gas engine, and now those hybrids are failing. Having issues with that transmission aswell. Over hear we say buyer beware. Have the older V8, which while thirsty, don't have those issues.

Does is come with a spare engine ? It is going to need it. The Hybrids have exactly the same engine as the non Hybrid and will join the other 109 000 others that will be getting a long block. The Hybrids are locking up in the states as well. Maybe the 2024 built ones will be okay as Toyota changed out the main bearing journals for another Jan this year. ( the debris in the engine is a myth).

Gee my Hilux got 18.6lt/100 on a recent 22k lap of Oz towing a van with an ATM of 2850kg. It pulled it easliy too. I was concerned it wasn't going to perform well but it surprised me and super comfortable. If the Tundra only has a payload of 700-800kg it's going to suffer the same as Ram and Silverado 1500. They all need to go to a 2500 to be within limits.

Gees that front end is shocking! It hardly looks like a work ute. Who the hell wants a vehicle looking like that and made to appear so fragile? Crap! Will stick to the 20+ year-old 78-series. Takes me everywhere but does cost $$$ in fuel. You can't have everything.

It's not the first time Toyota Tundra has been in Australia I think the originally they came out in 2020 2021 could be even little bit earlier I got to see one I was talking to a bloke that came all the way from Perth western Australia to pick up one for a test drive from Blood Toyota here in Geelong Victoria they were the original dealers for the First tundras shipped to Australia I seen him down at Torquay even got talking to him got to take photos of the vehicle it had all the bells and whistles might have been top of the line trim with 5.7 litre V8

Picked up the E4 here in the US from XGrid Campers. Amazing trailer. The pull out stove is fantastic, the Houghton A/C is powerful and the Truma Combi hot water and air heater performed flawlessly. I also appreciate the fact that there are 8 total electrical sockets distributed between 4 receptacles around the camper for 120 volt appliances. Also much appreciated are the numerous DC and USB outlets all over. The double nightstand and bunk bed option just add to the overall value and comfort of the camper.

This one is finally in the US. I did a walkthrough recently and I am impressed with the included features and items. Really glad to see that the top is now manipulated electronically.

Maybe some of the most unanswered questions at the moment ?? How Much $$$$$$ and WHEN are they available 🤔 It's looking like November when the New Tundras will be available in Toyota Dealerships. I assuming the supply volume won't be that good this year ?? as all these vehicles need to transition through Walkinshaw special vehicles as part the conversation to Right Hand Drive. Price is still to be verified ?? But, it's expected that the current stock will be around $140k plus other normal dealer charges. Which puts the Tundra in the higher end price bracket when comparing what else is available ( RAM 1500, Chevrolet Silverado and Ford F150 ?? ) But IF I had my choice I would buy the Tundra. Most because their not as Common as Holden Commondores ??

Just starting to do some research on the Tundra. I was looking at the RAM 1500 as a possible ?? But, I can't get use to seeing the high roof profile from the rear. Most would say who cares when your driving forward ?? It's just something I can't stop thinking about every time I see a RAM going past me. I have noticed the Tundra doesn't seem too bad in this regard. Unlike most people who would be looking at a Tundra as a Towing vehicle. I just like them for their interior SPACE. Something I LOVED about the RAM. But it might take some time to getting use to something that was mentioned in the RAM review. The tag of being an Land Ship, LOL. They're not exactly car park friendly at 6 metres Long ?? All that aside I'm still feel fairly confident about eventually buying a mobile lounge room 😅 My end purpose for a Land Ship purchase is mostly for open road cruising as an excuse to get away everytime we have a long weekend.
