Can you breakdown estimated building costs for this project? Looking forward to seeing the build progress. I have not done a commercial to residential development as I thought the timescale and build costs would be to high for areas with low end values. If you can turn three one beds for £100.000 and in six months I will be impressed.

How did you get started? How did you buy your first house? They not exactly cheap. At least £60 to £80 grand. Did you just decide to go to a bank and say I want to buy a house lend me the money? With that asset? You make what you did sound like something that anyone can do. I think the bank would laugh at me if I asked for around £100 grand to buy a house and couldn't provide proof of income or anything to secure the mortgage against. Technically speaking the bank commits fraud by lending you money secured against an asset you don't own yet.

The only way new money can be created is by someone borrowing it. Every single pound, every single penny only exists because someone originally borrowed it. When someone puts money in a savings account for a year that money is used by the bank to create even more money out of thin air in loans and mortgages. The interest the bank collects on those loans is used to pay for the running of that bank, pay its staff and what is left after profit is paid to the saver. Inflation is built into the system. It is unavoidable.

On the subject of education and conformity, I was thinking back to when I was in 6th form and what was peddled to us all about student loans. If you don't end up earning enough to pay it back you don't have to worry about it and if you are earning enough to make payments then you're well off enough to make the payments... As a dumb teenager, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, I lapped it up. I ended up going to university, was there for 4 years because I changed course mid way through, and then I dropped out. £50k in debt and nothing to show for it. This was a while back and fortunately I'm now earning an above median wage salary whilst saving like mad living with my parents for a mortgage deposit. But I somewhat regret having gone to uni, because now I have an extra 9% deduction over £27.5k or whatever it is for student loan repayments until 2049. And it's not even paying the interest, so it will never be paid. Makes me a bit angry at my past self.

That's so weird to me now because Iv'e just been in a crypto echo chamber for about 5 years, are normal people not aware that there is a bill being proposed for bitcoin to be held in the U.S. treasury?? It's 100% theyre keeping the 200k btc they already have (this was seized bitcoin, mostly from Silk Road) and in the bill it states they would like to acquire another 800k over a 5 year period, they are talking about selling part of the gold reserve to do it too!!

Well said chap. If you ain't happy, bog off then, do something instead of sitting on your arse moaning especially for views. UK still has opportunity but it has gone down the pan. I've not been living here much past 10 years anyway but still lot of positives, had operation here which I wouldn't dream of having anywhere else in world.

It is finished in terms of getting ahead. Its designed to allow for a lifestyle that is mediocre. For most of us that are not Doctors, Dentists and white collar, its exceptionally difficult, my main issue as a contractor is FUEL BILLS and Taxation on money earned even though the actual taxation system makes alot of allowances in terms of time and putting reciepts against your final bill. I now drive trucks on PAYE. My turnover was 160k a year self employed and i made less than being a truck driver and worked more hours, its silly. That 160k became about 36k lol and thats before tax. So here it is, i went from being a Gas Fitter with 2 guys working for me to a Truck Driver, can i do both......maybe we see.

I believe the only way to get out of this mess, is to align to Trumps MAGA movement. The EU is on the decline, and unless there is a radical shift over there, that will continue. You only have to look at the economy data for the last 10 years to see Europe has remained flat, while the USA economy has doubled. Farage has Trumps and Musk ear. He could get us the trade deal and investment we need. But 5 years is a long way off. It maybe too late. I too am thinking about leaving.

When I see Diversity and equity officers getting 50k+ it's utterly demoralising. I need to be fully qualified (3-4 years of training) to earn even close to that.

The government distributed over £700 billion during covid with no investigation of where it went. £14,000 for ever adult in the UK, we all know where the money went except they can't claw it back. Now the next government has to pick up the pieces and as usual that means small business and taxpayers get crushed. I'm 70yrs old and my advice to young men and women is either become a plumber or electrician. But you will have to work hard at the course and aim for excellence in everything you do. And you're never too old to start.

It sounds all cool, and i agree that victim mentality is bad. But you are part of the problem. Radical ownership of you having owners is basically saying, I am fine being a wage slave. Its ego driven. And exactly the reason why we are in this mess.
