Your a nice bloke i like you,but keep your mortar on your board in a neat and nice pile, it will look better than it splashed all over the board, plus take mortar from the side of the neat mortar pile the way your taking it up with your trowel you will get serious elbow pain ,trust me trying to help you out, being neat and organised makes the job easier and lets the other brickies on site know you mean business means your up for it everyday, now go smash some bricks in and by the way your looking fit and healty these days👍

500mm are best IMHO the others are to high and do my shoulder in.

All though no one is barred from entry in to the competition as long as you can fulfill the entry requirements,The super trowel and the bricklayer 500 competitions do give advantage to bricklayers who come from ,what I would call the English method of bricklaying , country’s like Ireland , USA , Australia , Canada and new Zealand ect . All of those country’s use mortar boards and either Philadelphia or London type trowels which are more suited to working from boards .There is no trowel type excluded so why should the competitors be mandated to use boards . A competitor from the Netherlands or Belgium wouldn’t have a hope of winning if they had to use a Dutch or Belgian pattern trowel and work of a board . The Dutch and Belgian s would be at a disadvantage anyway because they build with profiles ,and building corners freehand with a level wouldn’t be the done thing , but obviously they could practice that aspect in order to enter the competition. I think as long as they are building corners freehand how they set up there bricks and mortar should be down to them . Good video harry what’s your impression of the fitzbrick profile system .

I mean its each to their own but leaf blowers?? A piece of gutter and some blocks left out does just as good a job...I have in the past taped a brush head onto a long piece of roofers lathe long enough to span the gable effectively creating what looks like a giant tooth brush and pushed it all the way along the tray at the bottom where a stone for the gutters been left out whilst the labourer chucked buckets of water from the top..Tray Comes out spotless and cheaper than forking out 50/60 quid...Not trying to be a twat Harry but the Problem is you,ll never satisfy em...More u do the more they will expect..

What leaf blower did you buy? If you’re up to wall plate you can clean the bottom tray if you’ve left coring holes out at the corners
