Bit of advice to make you go even faster - on nearly every single corner you are turning in far too early - look for the apex of the corner not the start of the corner - all good happy to help - love the Mercedes sound and having just immersed myself into VR too - its awesome
@@mikecostanza303 nothing really broke except the cv axel but they wore out stupidly fast my control arms got slightly bent, my knuckle joint almost came unscrewed (after doing it for about 10 minutes i checked and it was LOOOOOOSE), my sway bar isnt the best but isnt the worst, but the cv axel had to be replaced twice because i ripped the boot i think is what its called and alot of tires but thats obviously going to happen
Do you think it's worth shifting to 3rd? Most of the time here I see you shifting back to second after a brief moment anyways. Even when you were at 3rd for a longer time, for example at 0:18, you were at the lower part of the power band of 3rd anyways.
I would normally agree if it was manual, but the DCT is so quick that I can gain a few more miles and not have to consider if the time it takes to shifting up and back down is worth the speed gained.
I have this car now - once you get yours from Hagerty - as I write this still available - head over to discovery and 'styles' and 'add to collection' the 'dirty' Steve McQueen version - there are a couple the one with black wheel inserts is more correct - if you need more help on how to apply it to the car - just ask - wonderful car possibly the greatest racing car of all time and not only my favorite car of all time but also LeMans is my favorite film
avalanche0111 thanks for the reply! I’m thinking of running the same setup on my 11 Cooper (justa) non-s. Do you know if they will fit on stock suspension? I plan to add coil overs after.
@@shellycook3616 yes they'll fit. Although, I think folks in HS with the justa are on 205 squared. Also, I think this particular video was quite some time back where I had 17s and were still trying all kinds of setups. Car was not handling great then. Heh.

Nice driving
Thanks 👍
Car sounds great!
Thanks!
Nice run!
Thanks!
Instead of manual mode, try whatever the most aggressive auto mode is. The shifting logic might hold gears longer and be more to your liking.
Nice run!
thanks
i used to pull the e break and power slide alot in my civic....had to spend ALOT of money fixing the damage
What did you break?

The downshift is seamless, going a few mph quicker is a few mph quicker

Wow, pointy!
AMG slow at interlagos this year 😢
Terrible!
How's the Elantra N for AX? My friend is considering one, and wants to do AX competitively, would you recommend the E N in this price range?
It's definitely a capable car and really well priced. Very competent stock.
Nicely done sir 👍👍
Thank you
Looks quick!
How is the new Corolla for autocross?
It's great for 100% stock aside from tires. Could use a bit more rotation.
@@avalanche0111 better than the civic?
Wow that looked crazy fast, how did you place?
First I guess 😀
@@avalanche0111 dang, congrats!!
Ooo brands hatch

Think I missed it. Darn.
Doesn’t look like she wants to sing it 😂
What size tires did you run with the advanti Storm 1’s when you had the staggered setup (15x7, 15x8)? Beautiful car!
Thanks! I ran 225/45 15 and 205/50 15 rival s tires

Thanks for posting the cw video, very helpful for us who have not driven that layout yet. The lack of track out in several corners is an eye opener.
Nice run. And yup, nice t shirt!
