I never much liked this song, but you guys did a nice job with it.
Hey GSD, same here. I couldn’t stand this song or this band growing up. We were looking to add some popular songs to the set and one of the band mates suggested we do this tune as covered by Texas Country dude Casey Donahew. I did a little research and found out Rob Thomas wrote this song about his mom when she was going through cancer and he was a teenager and that kinda changed it for me. Now I really like singing it and it’s gets a really good reaction live. Who knew?
