GYG we're ghostwritten by other people. I used to love them just the same. They were fun for sleepovers where we'd get together and read and make decisions. We were nerds lol

I felt about the same way about this one its been a year or two since I've read it but I thought it was ok I remember really liking the Santa part.my favorite so far is trapped in bat wing hall

Good review, i will say, some GYG books have some really good plots that dont follow this super random “dart at a dartboard” type gameplay, the ones i mentioned in my comment are mostly like that, but there will always be an element of randomness in each one. I also find theres a skill curve to these books as well? As you read these books you start to get an idea of the “Goosebumps mentality” so to speak and are able to know when a certain choice is a fake out or meant to be taken at face value, i find myself getting better at weeding out the good endings as i go on lol. But like i said great review, excited for next one :)

Which goosebumps books do you have ? The original books, series 2000, the remake/reprints of the original books, series 2000 and give yourself goosebumps, give yourself goosebumps, etc.

I love the GYG books, a lot of the time these are darker and more twisted.

I wouldn't mind if supermassive games would loosely adapt some of these books into choose your own path games. I've only played the quarry but there's also the dark pictures anthology series which looks like a treat. 😊

I’m simultaneously reading all of these and also the Green Bone and Bound and the Broken sagas, haha. I’m never gonna finish them at this rate 😂 but they’re all sooo good! I also picked up The Wandering Inn audible book, but I’ve set it aside for now, lol. Andddd also One Piece and Berserk lol.

Red Rising = 1st hundred pages the author describes the main male character as being randomly naked three separate times. Cringed me right out of the book. Better for female readers I think

This is exactly how I’ve been reading. The first book in every series! The other reason I did that is so I could read the first book from library or audiobook and the ones I loved by the box set lol

So i generally read around 100 pages a day when im into a series 🙈🤣 but im also behind on the series as well, ive only got 3 of them but im going to 4 when 5 comes out so i have a decent amount of reading to do over the holidays and into next year. Ive just picked up david eddings Belgariad series from a charity shop and have been reading them. First time for me reading this author and its not bad, its not amazing but i am only in book 2 so far and it might get better as it goes on. Im taking a scifi break (have been reading 40k gaunts ghosts and the horus heresy) and fantasy has always been my first love with scifi being a clise second

Have you read any Raymond E Feist? He's one of my favourite fantasy authors
