The problem is that he has so few MMA fights that it’s hard to say how good his takedown defense actually is. He’s a K-1 fighter, and in that discipline, he’s elite. He even had a pretty solid fight with Alex Pereira! He’s got the genetics, and we’ve seen that an elite K-1 fighter can learn takedown defense relatively quickly. But for that, he needs the right coach, team, and work ethic. Unfortunately, with only 7 fights under his belt, he’d need at least 2-3 more to see a trend-whether he’s plateauing or making progress in the micro-movements. I’d say he’ll win this fight because he has exceptional experience in striking. He’s been through some really tough fights, and even in the UFC, he’s faced pretty tough opponents right from the start. Still, I can’t shake the feeling that betting on this event is like gambling on 19 in blackjack! 😄
