😊 not what I expected, but very cool 👍
Awesome monsters, just in time for Halloween 🎃
@@jessenoklahoma Yeah, nothing like a gaggle of EMD's! These locomotives work out of a yard in an area northeast of Atlanta in a city called Chamblee. (pronounced SHAM-blee) I couldn't see the screen on my phone so I didn't know if I got a good video or not. I edited out the last part because it started tilting a bit but I kinda wish I let the whole scene run (about 12 more seconds) as the lash up was passing behind a boxcar. Thanks for watching!😃
That Zephyr looks really cool 👍
@@XBOXShawn12thman Thanks, man! It's out of a "starter" set that I got for a great deal when I started buying Kato. I had trouble with a pair of Life Like UP Alco FA and FB units. Everyone said go Kato so I went wild on them. No regrets at all!😜
@@chessieandjack that is awesome 😎👍
Hey my friend, I dropped your link on my community page Hope it gets you a boost in subs 👍
Lots of action going on 👍 layout looking fantastic 😊
Looking Good👍😀OperateOnOperator
@@TrainWork Thanks for watching. One of many things you can do when you have a changeable layout. Still more to come!
Very cool, 😎👍
Thanks 👍 Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for more 🎉
Very nice video 👍 layout is looking awesome 😎
👍😀OperateOnOperator
@@TrainWork Will do!!!😜
Love that scheme
Nice coal train 👍
Great double header 😎 layout looks awesome 👍
@@jessenoklahoma Thanks. I got the blue C&O loco to go with the Chessie paint scheme. I tried double heading with another locomotive and they didn't match up. I've got a way to go before I can start matching speed steps in dcc!😵💫
@@chessieandjack understood 👍 I have a C&O Athearn GP35 that I use as a Chessie 👍 And a B&O bachman spectrum FM also 👍 I like anything Chessie Happy modeling 😊
@@jessenoklahoma You have quite a collection. I started going a different direction this year. I haven't done HO for nearly twenty years. I watch a lot of Charles Smiley Presents videos and the one called "Mountain Grades Of The B&O, C&O, and Western Maryland" has some coal trains I am replicating. I lived in West Virginia a long time ago and saw lots of B&O coal trains.
@@chessieandjack that sounds interesting 👍 I like coal trains, I've been stuck here in the Midwest seems like forever, not much interesting freight passing this way, covered hoppers and boxcars mostly, A couple of area freight companies but no models of them, So I'm not very prototypical 😊 I just run what I can pick up cheap But chessie system is my favorite
Just in time for Halloween
@@jessenoklahoma Yep. Live decorations!🕷🕸🎃
Beautiful tortie 🥰🥰
I cut back my catnip plant and laid it out to dry on this table top. It wasn't doing well so I piled it up. The aroma enticed Chessie to come over and frolic around in it. Sorry about all the background noise, every time I press record a jet flies by, the ac turns on, or someone does a burnout in their car.😢
Man, that is cool. I run Kato N Scale, too. Very impressive.
Looking better everyday ❤
It happens 😮 lol
Awesome 😮 you made big steps 👍 looking good 🎉
KATO Unitrack HO Scale, Good Stuff. Built my layout in HO with it. 👍😀OperateOnOperator
@@TrainWork I started using Kato with N Scale about ten years ago. I have trouble with my vision (detached retina) and can't see it in focus anymore. I went back to HO so I can see what I'm doing. Everything is still slightly out of focus. I like being able to change layouts at will. I used to have Bachmann HO (30 years ago) and the tabs broke off on a lot of them so I started using Kato and I am not going back! I have my n scale out and am going to put down four tracks on dc power to run a bunch of trains. Stay tuned for an upcoming video! Thanks for watching!🚂
Love it!😀
Thanks! 😄
Nice 👍 I was thinking about running my chessie today, love that caboose
@@jessenoklahoma Thanks 😊. I have two of those cabooses, different road numbers. If I find cars with different numbers I try to buy them up.
@@chessieandjack heck ya, hard to find items don't last on the market to long
Nice . I do some Chessie, too/
Very nice 👍 love the outdoors set up,
Pulling freight again with the E8. This locomotive has a steam generator for passenger service in the rear. I have pre-ordered the Broadway Limited five car heavyweight passenger set so I can offer that service. I can't wait to holler "All aboard!"
Looking good 👍
Nice loco, who makes it
Walthers Proto. Back in the nineties I had a B&O Life Like Proto 2000 very similar. I didn't have room to run it so I donated it to a club that donated it to the Boy Scouts. I hope they got good use out of it!
@@chessieandjack very generous of you 👍 I like Walther's, I have 3 all very smooth and quiet 👍
Nice gondolas, they need to stop and load 👍 My update video shows some really inexpensive loads ez to make
Very cool, 👍
Awesome 👍😎 collection, I'ma Chessie fan, only have 19 pcs in my fleet, these are very unique pcs, and very nice 👍 Thanks for sharing Subbed 😎
Chessie lives on
Make that 11 turnouts.
I changed my layout so I could use my passing siding and to have a classification yard. The #6 turnouts are a bit too long for a 4X8 layout. The classification yard was okay but still I need a longer space. I am going to revert to the World's Greatest Hobby layout with the extra track shoved in. I was able to do switching with both layouts but I like the more crowded aspect of the previous version. I can do a classification yard later on using the caboose track by extending it onto another 4X8 sheet. I would also like to have a runaround on it to increase my "mainline" trackage. I am eventually going to get some sheets of 2" thick 4X8 foam insulation for my groundwork. That's something for the future.
That's gonna be pretty cool 👍
Yeah, it should be if I can pull it off. I have been able to do a limited amount of yard switching with both layouts. This train was assembled by breaking up a longer train that was being pulled by my U25B. I used the SW7 to reassemble the train and put some cars away. I am enjoying being able to do switching now as opposed to just running around in circles. It sometimes takes about twenty minutes to reshuffle cars and get a new locomotive out and on the line.
@@chessieandjack I did have a 4x8 with a run in circles track but my new layout is a point to point 👍
LONG LIVE THE CAT!!! 🐈
Indeed! Thanks for watching.
@@chessieandjack You're very welcome 😋
I got my first train in 1969. It was a Tyco Penn Central set with a deepwater green F3 locomotive, a Penn Central box car, a hopper car, a flat car with three concrete pipes, and the angled cupola caboose. I had problems with the side frames on the locomotive trucks coming off and traction tires breaking. My experiences were similar to what the real railroad went through! Now, fifty-five years later, I have new train that looks and performs really well, unlike what took place so many years ago!
Close up.
Very neat shots of the train!
Thanks. I have my phone in one hand and the throttle in the other and using my body as a tripod.
A bit too fast but I wanted to push the limits to see how this new locomotive performs.😅
Chessie, the "Scrappy Cat " goes out to check the rails. When Chessie was new, about a month ago, the handrail on the right side of the hood was mismounted. An attempt to repair it made things worse! A drop of super glue applied using a toothpick ran down the side and made a mess. Another attempt to correct this caused even more problems. The only recourse was to weather the locomotive. I used magic marker and rubbing alcohol to stain the paint. This got even more disastrous. A white haze developed causing me to think I had stripped the paint from the shell. I used mineral oil to buff it out and the color came back and it didn't look that bad! After two more weatherings it ended up looking like this. Chessie is an old lady but she still has some get up and go!
Bowser Alco RS-3 pulling hot freight westbound. Three boxcars have got to get to the customer pronto. A newly acquired RS-3 stretches it's legs for the first time. I combined two Kato WGH track packs to make two locomotive yards. The North Yard dispatches locomotives for westbound trains. The South Yard dispatches locomotives for the eastbound trains. I was able to make a complete layout using only pieces from the two track packs but ended up with a 95" wide layout on a 96" wide sheet of plywood!
"So let's get this thing started up!" This was a point in the video that I edited out some rough footage. Actually, it was already started. I used F8 to mute it so I could use that as a starting point for the video. The Athearn Genesis models automatically start when track power is turned on. I wish they would change that so it starts only when you press F8.
Water pounding on the roof made an awful noise!
I am trying to get used to running dcc. The idea of running multiple trains on one track is fascinating. Using multiple controllers that can handle sound effects is my objective. I previously was using dc transformers by utilizing the jump connector and was only able to control the speed and not any sound functions.
