Only a higly coordinated octopus could play this...
I cannot help but notice the similarity between the rhythm and flow of this piece and his first piano concerto second movement. Super cool!
thats true
Thanks for your insight.
Your voicing is incredible.
Thx
Thanks for 139,645 views. And again, thanks to everyone in South Korea for supporting me. 🇰🇷😎👏
You played.. better than Kissin in my opinion.
Thank you so much for your comment.
Perfeto
Well done! Nice exercice 👍
Thanks for listening.
Very very well played :)

Thank you. ❤
1:18 can we just appreciate this rach moment
AMAZING Next year I am going to play this etude INSHAALLOH
That's the exact same piano preset sound I always use on my keyboard! What model do you have?
professional and perfect. ur truly pianist👍🏻
중간 부분에 너무 아름답다..
잘 치시네요 ㄷㄷ
Was this performed on a digital piano? What model?
seems to be a Yamaha CFX to me, the default sound for all yamaha keyboards, those chords at the end tell me otherwise.
Well thank you for this quite impressive piano rendition. Rachmaninov would 👍 agree.
Hope you've gone far on your musical career, definitely worthy of concert level performance, you need a good agent and good marketing and put yourself out there!
This sounds scared 😱
👻
누구 노래에요?
라흐마니노프 입니다
This is exceptionally well played
Thank you Sami.
I love 0:56 Awesome
2:27 to 2:32 🔥🔥
MY FAV PART YES
I'll never get over the badass-ness of this etude.
Could you play the d-major prelude (op. 23 no. 4), please?
Sure I’ll record this one next. Give me some time because I have a Kawai now and can only record using USB.
Wow!!! This interpretation is one of the best I've heard, lovely playing! Thanks :) really made my day...
Is this a touch too fast?
Amazing
Fantastic.
Have you recorded the Etudes Tableaux as a set? This and your rendition of Op 39 No 1 rivals Lugansky! Nailed it!!!!
Thanks. I’ll post some Rach preludes soon.
Ryan i listen to this at least once a week! may i ask which piano vst you used and reverb? i love the sound a lot
Hi Elias - I used a Yamaha Arius YDP-141 recorded from the keyboard's 2nd headphone jack to a MacBook Pro stereo input and captured by Logic Pro. More recent versions of the MacBook have gotten rid of the headphone jack for stereo-in recording. Studio time for recording an acoustic piano is ridiculously expensive and not worth the expense for me anymore. Classical recordings make pennies and all the masterworks have already been recorded.
@@ryanmorin3092 oh i totally agree ! its much more efficient and practical and a you have almost total control on how do piece will sound like.I am very impressed with the quality i was sure u used a sampled piano not just a yamaha arius! Keep them coming
And yes I just used the keyboard's standard reverb.
Really well played, congratulations!
Thank you Nicola.

Convaincant
Good!!!
This is way better then other performances of pianists. Did you play this?
그래 그게 나야
For English speakers, yes I did.
amazing Ryan! simply amazing
เล่นเก่งมากจังหวะสมบูรณ์แบบ
ขอบคุณมากครับ
This is an extremely hard piece, How long have you been playing the piano to play like this? I hope to be at least half as good one day (Piano is my second instrument)
25 years. Good fingering for this etude certainly helps. I'll upload my fingering to my website in the future.
Actually it isn't hard etude compairing to others. Some etudes more harder than this. If you play broken arpeggios you will deal with this etude
@@Ar1osssa The right hand arpeggios in this etude are quite awkward to play and challenging to articulate. There is always a more technically difficult piece. The challenge is to make it musically interesting.
@@ryanmorin3092 Yep. I'm learning it too. Before you start learn that etude I can propose to play Bach WTC 1 d moll. It has the same articulation problem like this etude. I'm writing that to the others
@@ryanmorin3092 Hi Ryan, did you ever end up uploading your fingering for this etude anywhere online? It would be really interesting and valuable to see! Regards from the UK.
Thank you for 35,000 views. Special thanks to all listeners from South Korea! 🇰🇷감사합니다
it's the best i've heard ever!
At least 5000 of those views are mine lol, I absolutely love this performance, I based my own interpretation of the piece on it.
Good 👍
Thanks Nikola, appreciate the kudos from Macedonia.
@@ryanmorin3092 No problem 😀 Have you uploaded the fingerings yet? I noticed you said that you would in another comment. I'd love to see that since I've had some difficulties. Cheers
hi Ryan. Could you pass me your email? I have a few questions about how to handle Rachmaninov's etudes
As Chopin said, everything starts with good fingering. Practice slowly. Listen to Ashkenazy's recordings to understand the style.
too quickly, lost character
Thank you for listening Anna and Kim.
I think it's normal tempo. Lugansky perfomance of this etude is faster
