Trap Door — Piranha (C64 VICE 50Hz no commentary)
This is gameplay for the C64 game Trap Door, originally created on the ZX Spectrum by Don Priestly. The Spectrum version was published by Piranha Software in 1986 and that same year the ports for the C64 and Amstrad CPC by Five Ways Software.
On the C64 the game can be played almost entirely with the joystick. Though you still have to press the "T" key to tip the object you're holding. You can remap the keys and change the tip key to "space" to make life easier. But it's used infrequently enough that it's easy enough to play with the original "T" mapping.
I was able to play the game to completion, though I think I was too aggressive with the weight at the end and crushed the safe. The C64...

Commodore 128 start-up screen (C128 VICE no commentary)
Просмотров 1521 день назад
So it happened. You loved your C64, but you needed to do serious work. More RAM, an 80 column option, and a disk-drive that could load programs at far less embarrassing speeds was what was needed. With the C128 here, you now have the best of both worlds. You could do 'real' work, or you could just type "GO64" and be back to the familiar old system where all the good games were. So here is the s...
Zaxxon - Synapse (C64 VICE 50Hz no commentary)
Просмотров 162 месяца назад
This is gameplay from the C64 arcade conversion of Zaxxon, released by Synapse Software, also in 1984. There is another conversion of this game - often referred to as the cartridge version - released by US Gold in 1984. In my opinion this Synapse Software conversion is the far superior one. There are also two conversions of Super Zaxxon, but they're kinda average, in my opinion. I'd just rather...
Gorf (VIC-20 VICE 50Hz no commentary)
Просмотров 472 месяца назад
This is gameplay and the demo mode of the VIC-20 conversion of the arcade game Gorf. The original arcade version of Gorf was released in 1981 by Midway Manufacturing, and the VIC-20 conversion was released on cartridge by Commodore in 1982. It was an 8k cartridge, number VIC-1923. I was able to loop through the levels almost three times, but my game was over in around five minutes. At 5:25 the ...
3D Pinball / Pinball Power - Mastertronic (C64 VICE 60Hz no commentary)
Просмотров 882 месяца назад
This is gameplay from 3D Pinball, also known as Pinball Power. The game was programmed by Steve Walters and released by Mastertronic in 1989. I was a big fan of pinball games on home computers. On the C64 I had a great deal of fun with Electronic Art's "Pinball Construction Kit", and later Sublogic's "Night Mission Pinball". Then, when the Amiga came along there was Pinball Dreams/Fantasies/Ill...
Silent Storm, warehouse mission - Nival Interactive (PC Win10 no commentary)
Просмотров 392 месяца назад
This is gameplay from the warehouse mission in the turn-based strategy/RPG game "Silent Storm". The game was developed by Nival Interactive and published by JoWooD Productions in 2003 for Windows. When I first bought this - on CD (!) - I ran it on Windows XP. Though it still runs well under every Windows version I've owned since. ie: Win 7, 8, and 10.) More recently I bought the Steam version, ...
Kennedy Approach - Microprose (C64 VICE 50Hz no commentary)
Просмотров 5372 месяца назад
This is one game of Kennedy Approach, the well loved air traffic control simulator released for the C64 and Atari 400/800 by Microprose in 1985. There were 16-bit ports made for Amiga/Atari in 1988, though those felt like they were missing something to me. The first game starts at 0:45, progressing to the next level at 13:05. The demo plays at 28:00, which I allowed to play through twice before...
Slam Tilt - Liquid Dezign (Amiga WinUAE 50Hz no commentary)
Просмотров 242 месяца назад
This is gameplay of Night of the Demon table, from the computer pinball game Slam Tilt, developed by Liquid Design and published fin 1996 by 21st Century Entertainment for AGA Amiga's. A Windows version was later released in 1997, which I happen to have on CD. So I'll upload that for comparison once I work out a good way to capture it. The Windows version could run at 640x400 or 800x600 resolut...
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade MAME 60Hz no commentary)

This is gameplay from the 1989 Konami arcade game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I've recorded gameplay of it before, with me as the only player, which looks a bit boring. This time I was able to get a friends daughter in as co-turtle and the results were.. interesting. :) Apart from a some control issues in the first minute, and a fixation on falling into the manholes and collecting pizza, she ...
Activision Demo Disk #7 - Decathlon, HERO, Toy Bizarre, Beamrider, ZENJI, Pitfall 1 and 2 (C64 60Hz)
Просмотров 963 месяца назад
Activision used to distribute demo disks of their games. Presumably for retailers to use on display computers. The disk could be loaded and would cycle through several pieces of software, auto-playing them, with a promotional blurb as each loaded, and hopefully enticing potential customers to buy their games. This disk has seven excellent games, which I looped though three times. (The gameplay ...

Uchi Mata - Martech (C64 VICE 50Hz no commentary)

This is video of a couple of games, and then the demo mode, of the C64 game Uchi Mata. Released in 1986 Martech, and also published for the Amstrad, Spectrum, and MSX. The first game ended quickly as I was configured for the wrong joystick port. :) The second game begins at 0:28 and is much more successful, progressing past the final onto harder competitors. The game finally ends with a black b...

This video is the full six minutes of loading from tape (which finishes at 6:15), as well as gameplay from the Codemasters game BMX Simulator, released for the C64 in 1986. My main video of this game, that skips all the loading, is here: ruclips.net/video/cBOw6VbpJrQ/видео.html The gameplay of BMX Simulator is quite simple: hold fire to pe...

Green Beret - Imagine (C64 VICE 50Hz no commentary)
Просмотров 663 месяца назад
This is a full play through of Green Beret, released by Imagine for the Commodore 64 in 1986. Originally an arcade game, Green Beret (also known as Rush 'n Attack) was converted to run on many home computer systems of the day, including Atari, Amstrad, BBC, and ZX Spectrum. The C64 version is brutally hard, and games can easily be over in 30 seconds if you're not paying close attention. This vi...

Now i get why the commodore amiga failed. This port is weird in my opinion but i still play it online sometimes lol
speccy version is quite faster .. but it is a unique attempt to capture full-size cartoon graphics in a game.
This game is literally push and shove
No matter the version, this game is SUPER POOR!!
That’s weird why did Pauline/Lady’s dress shrink?
I played this game in the 80s in Rio de Janeiro, it was the Nova Apparate - Hamburg version, most likely ilegally imported, which was very common at the time.
I want this on Android
14:32 Is he flipping the bird?
🐢🕳👀💬"Duuuh, who put the light out" XD
Gioco stupendo
Sweet 🛫
I used to have one of these demo disks (different games). They gave you just enough of a taste of the games to really make you want to buy them. Clever marketing.
That use to have a bonus level! A 5th level!!! Plays random music, and keeps going to the same levels.
the cutscenes being sped to to hid the choppiness is pretty funny
I feel more like it was because the original cutscenes were too boring tbh
These graphics are slightly better than Killer Instinct.
This game, actually, is a BIG simulation of golf. I just remember a lot of incredible matches! Sure inside the TOP 10 C-64 games of all time.
Big memories about!
Great to see the old games
It's amazing what we were satisfied with back then.
This is a clone of the 7800 version of Donkey Kong. Same awful sound.
Amiga has 5 stages!
Wow!
Great

I think it was one of my First C64 demos in my collection. 👍Between the Digisongs from Bruce with Born in the USA...and Tina Turner... Can't Stand in the Rain....how the years are Flying
Is this version any better than the home versions?
Even though there is almost no music, at least we can choose the robots, so much so that the gameplay is faster, so in my opinion, the Arcade version is less worse.
Marginally.
i remember this game
Good shit man. Been years since I programmed, bout to get back into it.
Great for getting to sleep! :)
Smith and Hubbard. I already feel the Thetan levels rising in my magic underpants!
I am intrigued by this idea of placing the drummer at the top. It has been done before, I know Stryper did this, and I vaguely remember Alex Van Halen. But to have a video game with that placement is awesome.
🤘🤘🤘🤘

Not a bad youtube video that lad ...it was a bit boring in some parts but you get to understand the plot of the storyline
Yes! 6:47:01 is my favorite part!
Turbo Tastic!
They have it at The Original Graziano's Pizza Restaurant in Ontario, CA.
This works for android
Pretty decent conversion from the arcade version. Graphics look very similar. The only downside is the framerate compared to the arcade. Otherwise... not bad. :)
This is the best fucking pinball ever made!
Hii
Oi
Commodore C64 using Commodore hardware is not cheating.
fantastic!
14:31 Message to bad user and bad people.
O_O
I never realised this music had an ending. I thought it just played in a loop. Impressive graphics by Stephen Wahid on the changing of the letter selection similar to Revenge of Doh.
Nice driving, but I think the REAL question is: Could the Amiga conversion of Power Drift beat the Amiga conversion of Outrun in a fight? ;-)
I played a lot for the first time in 1987 🥲
I never heard of a version of donkeykong for the amiga,i looked at wikipedia so this must be an official one,i knew there was an unofficial one back in 1993,also i can’t see why on eaeth an official one would be ported that late to a more powerful hardware considering the timeframe.
So, Pauline's skirt is basically disappear. Especially if you can play Donkey Kong Amiga.
Still having a hard time trying to get that damn code book.
