First Wash in a Year
Here the first detail of 2024 of a vehicle that hasn't been washed in a year. Because of the build up on the surface and this being relatively new (2020) vehicle. I didn't want to introduce anymore scratches than what it already has. With newer vehicles I only polish if it's absolutely necessary. Because polishing does remove clear coat. It wasn't't necessary. So I foamed twice, used Dark Fury to break down the bonded contaminants followed by an agitation wash.

How (I) to Wash a Large Truck

This is how I wash a large truck when I'm not using Superior Product's Formula 4 Spray Wax as a drying aid. I didn't use a drying aid because I am applying Adam's Polishes Graphene Spray on coating. Normally I wouldn't be concerned with water spots because they would be removed with the one step polish. However, with it being a newer truck(and a maintenance client) and applying a spray on ceram...

The Best Way to Rinse Your Vehicle
Просмотров 37Год назад
A few years ago I had an epiphany when my pressure lost pressure because people in the house were using the washer. To keep from burning up my pressure washer I just unplugged the hose and rinsed the vehicle that way. And it was a better and more throuogh rinse. Then I was like well this makes sense because the pressure washer is 1.3 gph and the pressure out the spigot is around 3-4 gph.

Swissvax Shield

Swissvax is one of (if not the) best wax companies out there. Their Shield wax is an option to a ceramic coating. It is meant for daily driven vehicles. Shield is not just another great shine. When is the Best Time to wash your Vehicle?
Can I use Cherry foam as agitation wash also? Superior pruducts are really budget friendly but I dont think I need two car soaps as a DIYer right?
Their spray wax is priced good too
Get well soon.
I love superior
Sounds like your power washer has a leaking water hose it keep turning off and on by its self @ 6:25
@@TonysLawnCare215 yeah it has a leak at the handle. I have to put more pipe thread on the fitting. Thanks for the tip.
I use dirt buster a lot, as it’s in stock near by an cherry foam isn’t. I need to order some from oriellys one day but my new products from superior was the “non acid universal cleaner”. If you like dark fury, well this stuff beats it at taking grime off tires and wheels. It’s super strong, but I love road warrior from them as well. I got a whole 20 gallons off the product line in my garage rn
How many ounces are you adding to get best results? Great video by the way 👍
@@RosalioRodriguez-c4l thank you for watching. I normally use 2oz’s. But if there is a bunch of caked on dirt, sand, or mud I will use 4oz’s
I've been using Miguires Gold Glass diluted 10 to 1 and it lasts like atleast 20 cars doesn't seem that expensive
@@LiamGannon1996 Gold Class is nice. But it says cleans & conditions. Which means there’s probably some type of gloss protection or enhancing. Which is counterproductive when using an all in one on a customers vehicle. Not to mention it’s twice the price for a gallon of cherry foam and half the price of a 5 gallon jug of cherry foam. But thanks for watching!
Superior products it's all I use , I do this full time, certain things like polished and compounds I use rupes stuff and I'm thinking of going back to turtle wax hybrid stuff and 3D . Stuff works you just have to know how to use it. You don't have to pay 50$ for a stupid soap when all pH soaps do the same. You need to clean better add a bit of apc and boom your good to go.
@@KingTheDetailer I use a lot of Superior Products their A1 Glaze is awesome. Video coming soon. If I’m doing paint correction I use SONAX EX04-06 and Perfect Cut .. thanks for watching
@@divinereflections8222 never used glaze , is it like a wax or does it do any corrections?
@@divinereflections8222 is that glaze just a wax ? Or does it do any corrections?
@@KingTheDetailer it does light correction. I use a rupes Lohr 15 and a Lake Country HDO orange 5.5 inch pad. Great for light scratches and water spots.
Cleanest Cobalt ever lol! Looks good!
@@WorldWar546 thanks and thanks for watching. The clearcoat is starting to bubble in some spots though. What can I say it’s GM paint!🙅♂️
If you need to add more than one ounce of product to just foam a car, you have something wrong. Even with the most expensive products, that a buck fifty in product cost per vehicle for the wash step.
@@mikezupancic2182 I use 2 oz’s of foam, 4 if there’s caked on mud, dirt or sand
Chemical guys and Adam’s over saturated the markets and raised the prices to new norms.

Orileys dont carry it in my area. I have to drive an hour to begin to see it stocked or pay $15 for delivery to store!
I don't even have an orileys in my area, 29 bucks to have it shipped to me is not worth it
You can find products from oriellys employees which products don’t have shipping fee. I payed 10$ recently for an enzyme based APC from superior but it was worth it as it’s great for upholstery and carpets
Sounds like its best to use Superior Product's Formula 4 Spray Wax for follow up washes after Graphene Spray on coating or for that matter any paint ceramic sealant after it has been initially applied. I guess if you use it before applying Graphene Spray on coating or for that matter any paint ceramic sealant, it will prevent it from bonding due to the wax in Formula 4. Would that be correct ?
@@seabreezeof you bet. But I was out and so was my local oreilly’s as well. So I thought I’d show an alternative. But yes it would prevent it from bonding. Although a good IP paint prep might break down the formula 4. Thanks for watching
I love the way you show us how to hack and clean a pass. Keep up the good work and I’m gonna make sure I subscribe to your channel.
@@terryjohnson8473 awesome and thanks for watching. Waterless-rinse less wash is a good alternative if you run out of apc. That was the inspiration the first time I started using it.
Cherry foam is Awesome!! Great video my man!

Adam’s has 3 different types of wheel cleaner .how can anyone have one for every type wheel
@@williamsanders1296 chemical guys in my opinion is worse. I’m ok with Adam’s having 3. Wheel & Tire cleaner for those who want an all in one. Wheel cleaner for those who want included decontamination cleaning properties. Eco cleaner for those who have ceramic coated wheels. Chemical guys have like 8 different wheel cleaners. Thanks for watching
I use a lot of superior products
@@williamsanders1296 yeah I’m slowly replacing what I run out of with superior products. Thanks for watching
Why did you make this video?
@@RayNLA because foam shampoos are getting too expensive. $60-$100 ? Prices started to increase before Covid.
I agree man, I’m a diyer and I fell into the hype but not too much, just started using superior and going to stick with it, their spray wax is the best drying aid ever! Prices are unbeatable too, also dark fury diluted 1:10 is great for maintenance vehicles, I’ve used it on most surfaces and as long as you don’t let it dry it’s fine
Thanks for watching and the tip of trying 1:10 dilution.
@@divinereflections8222ofcourse, for wheels if 1:10 isn’t enough I do 1:5 or 1:6 with distilled water
Nice work man! 151 was my go to, used it for years, check out my 50/50 on a hood of an 04 Acura TL I did years ago on my channel, that paint was hammered, oxidation, random isolated defects, etching, you name it, I showed the potential of 151 with a microfiber cutting pad, a regular 8mm throw DA, moderate pressure, consistent pad rotation with slower arm speed. Now I’ve moved on to 166, and no comparison, I wish I could’ve gone back and done that car with 166 instead of 151, 166 is a step above 151, 166 cuts more like a compound, pulls oxidation even better, finishes out and wipes off with ease, plus more of a polymer for protection. It’s crazy because I thought after 151 Meguiar’s couldn’t do much better, but 166 really is that much better, now I’m curious about the new solo aio that came out, I wonder if that one is a step above 166, I’ll be amazed if it is.
@@STILLNIGHTPEARL trying 151 with a microfiber pad is a great idea! Maybe I’ll try it. Thanks for watching
Out of all the protection products I've ever used, Swissvax Shield was my favorite. It actually lasted over a year for me, and the hydrophobic level to me is better than ceramics I've used. It takes some elbow grease, but it's worth it. I my pick up a jar of it again.
Thanks for watching. 100% agree with you. I also like the shine looks natural unlike a ceramic coating. Ceramic coatings have a synthetic look that is not natural or appealing to me.
2007!! That car looks fantastic!!

@@divinereflections8222 I just got this today and it didn't fit. The knobs that go into the original handle are too thick and have to force it in. Also it won't lock in because the tabs are too long. Going to have to get the dremel out to grind it down and cut the extra off.
For the reference, the Raincovo wand fits the current Portland harbor freight washer. The old Pacific Hydrostar has a tab that is 3/16 inch wide and 3/8 inch long. The new wand is 1/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch long. I went to harbor freight today to buy their replacement wand for their Portland and it matches exactly the Raincovo dimensions. After shaving down the tab to fit, I ran into the 2nd problem, the length of the tip is not deep enough to go completely into the handle, so it is not a tight fit and will leak. So the end result is that this wand would be the wrong replacement for the old Pacific Hydrostar.
I didn’t see you use the glaze. Did you use it before the sealant?
Yes, I must of not added that part when I was editing.

Good on you for showing your mistakes with the coating. It can happen easily if you dont have good lighting. Why did it take 2 years to fix though?
Great question! I didn’t notice it until a year later but… I detail every Saturday from April to October and reserve Sunday’s for my grand twins and a little bit of research was needed and a little bit of laziness. 😂

I own a detail shop and always looking for good products, I ordered two gallons to try, if I like it I'll order in t gallons.
I detail part time and used to detail for a body shop and my go to used to be Megiuars APC but I found out quickly on old interior it’s too harsh. My former boss told me about P&S interior cleaner and I have never had an issue. It works even better when I use it with my steamer and the fruity smell is a plus as well! I have 2 bottles one diluted 4:1 and the other full power. Thanks for watching.
Thanx

That’s pretty good. I got some stuff and the 22nd anniversary shampoo and st pattys detail spray
CS3 is great stuff.
Thanks for the video, I just got me one of those towels and wanting to try it in my vehicle. I would use it in smaller sections at a time, rinse it off with water and lubricate with lube to prevent more scratching. I will be using the McKee’s N-914 for this purposes. I have seen people using soap but heard that it could degrade the quality of the towel and won’t work as good as with dedicated lube. Again, Thanks for the video!
Crap. I never knew this product can be used on those mats. Wow
I would have rinsed it with water first . Or in the tub if I had no access to water . Rubbing dirt around is going to scratch anything
Thanks for making this video to show the capabilities of the product.
A lot of people are taking this video out of context. I made this video for two reasons. 1 how powerful and effective it is and 2 this is a way to clean your mats in fall/winter where it gets cold and you can’t use a water hose. I live in Virginia and turn off my hose bibs around October.
